start learning the language slowly..hehe
for me, its the key to go around cebu..hehe
God bless bro..
no offense meant fatal_lethal. i just wud like to make a brief lesson here.
yes, tagalog isnt a foreign language to a filipino point of view in general. but to a bisdak point of view, to be specific, its a foreign language to me cuz its nt my lingua franca. i speak cebuano and its my native language, so any language other than my own is foreign.
so if ur mother tells u to remove the foreign object from ur eyes that doesnt mean the speck comes from japan or zimbabwe that gets into ur eyes.
yes though tagalog is not your native tongue but it is the native language of the Philippines and Cebu is part of the philippines and the law of the philippines applies to cebu
If people from manila goes to cebu, dont expect them to speak visaya because they dont have any subject nor use the said language on the other hand, people from cebu do have a subject of Filipino unless i am wrong
I know that tagalog is not your native tongue but it is the native tongue of the Philippines and English is not even Our Native language and how come you prefer to use it instead of Filipino? is it because you cant accept the fact that Filipino is our national language instead of cebuano?
Ngano man? arent we happy that we know more language that the people from manila? we know how to speak cebuano, english and tagalog and probably french nor japanese?
so for me, even if the people from manila doesnt know how to speak cebuano. lets not cast them away. Sometimes, the reason why they are in cebu, probably vacation or probably one of your boss or employee....
Cebuanos have to learn filipino because they cant live their whole life in cebu, sooner or later, they will be going to manila and they cant speak english all the time and of course they cant speak cebuano....
Still, in my point of view.you have to learn how to speak cebuano if you are in cebu....
sakto jud.. u shud be knw at least tagalog man lng pra ok ra kau bisan asa ka sa pinas mapalid
filipino man atong official language which consists of several dialects, tagalog is just one of those dialects/vernacular, we just have the perception that it is the official language because that what is being used in the our country's capital city and mostly we see on tv is on tagalog..
but the bottom line is kung nganong murag init atong dugo sa mga tagalog kay mura man gud sila ug mga hambogero, labon kita moadto ug manila, kataw-an atong tagalog kay gahi kuno! kung sila mo ari magpa tagalog2x, mao na lami pud ibalos, hehe
just my opinion.. peace and up up up!!!
who does this mo'fo think he is??.. and do you think were impressed if we here people from your wretched, stinkin, god forsaken place come here in our hometown speak TAGALOG??.. i would love to meet this guy... and when i do.. i gonna open a can of whoop ass... hehehehehe...
we should have one common language.... that is tagalog... ngano?
if you dont know tagalog and like the other forumer from manila said. go to pampanga and ilocos.
they do understand tagalog and they wont cast you if you dont know how to speak their dialects
nor they wont force you to...
so i dont think learning cebuano is a must
just my point of view
kay lisod lagi pag naa ta sa manila
You cant stay in cebu for long, sooner or later you will go to manila and if you will speak english in manila, they will look at you not in the nicest way but they will look at you like
wtf..... feeling....
hehehehhehe
