To all out-of-towners or non-Cebuanos who want to stay in Cebu for one reason or another, I suggest u learn the local language.

Speak French when in France, goes an old adage.

So if u want to survive in Cebu, try to speak the local language. Dont expect the locals to speak ur language cuz most Cebuanos dont speak any foreign language other than English. Ther only people whom u might find gurgling ur language r the ones who r desperate enaf to look like a contestant in a Pinoy Survivor.

Its not hard to learn the language. Try to go to National Bookstore and buy a Cebuano-English dictionary. Or u might consider enrolling in many language centers in town.
