Probably it would take a Dabawenyo to know why, maybe it's not surprising why others didn't get it as we have also traveled to your cities and are aware of your citations. But despite what other cities claimed they have achieved or have tried to underrate the Davao that we know, I dunno it's just so differently unique here to compare with, maybe it's due to the 'breathtaking beauty' as the expats say it, maybe it's the feeling of safety and comforts our mayor has pampered us, or maybe the shrill of the eagle, maybe it's the taste of durian that only jaded palates can appreciate, maybe with the mysterious beauty of waling-waling, or the inspiration that one's fellows are also concerned with nurturing the Davao environment, maybe it's the sound of gongs and cymbals that reverberate through the centuries, or perhaps simply the sweet waters that we drink daily. Maybe it takes an individual who has truly discovered his being Dabawenyo, or those visitors who know how to appreciate sincerely, maybe it takes certain kinds of people, to know the reasons why...
