He said pension funds all over the world are confronted with this problem, which has resulted to huge losses, to the detriment of their legitimate beneficiaries.
“It became apparent that we had to use the best technologies around and develop something that will allow us to continue serving our pensioners without exposing ourselves to fraud,” said Garcia.
As for SSS, they still haven't solved this Long-Running SSS Online Inquiry Problem for months already. And SSS has the same related problem as with GSIS when it comes to new IDing system that needs the member to have a camera shoot and fingerprint. What if u r already in ur wheelchair? what if u r already bed-ridden? what if u r already abroad but still want to continue w/ SSS?
here's an SSS complaint i found from a poster: "Your online services provides a lot of inconvenience to people.. like in our company, not all employees are well educated about online services..sobrang bagal ng system ang hirap pumasok…"
As for Pag-ibig, recent changes to the HDMF program had caused an enormous strain on the organization's legacy applications. Transaction processing times had increased dramatically, and day-to-day operations were frequently disrupted due to the limited capacity of database files and poor performance of mission-critical applications.
Bro, in management principles, "sustainability" is more inclined to the discussion on ecology where a certain business activity takes place, like "sustainable development". But i think i know what u mean.
what u mean could be "effectiveness" and "efficiency" of a system in the long term. Management will call a system a FAILURE if it does not produce the expected effectiveness and efficiency that it expects.
Like using FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) for example.
and btw, what "finished" are u also referring to? AFAIK, there are already some systems in GSIS that have been finished and implemented and some to be finished yet like the G-WAPS. Surely, some of those finished needs to be tweaked or fine-tuned in time but u cannot call that "unfinished".
Coz technology is a never-ending endeavor. There's no end to that.
so with these i mentioned, u cannot call the GSIS system a "failure". Coz it still works for a lot of people and they benefited from the new technology derived. "Flawed" is more apt for that.
Simply put, new technology has its benefits, but at the same time its downsides...
