Second Look on Islam

those times are really different from our time. There was even instances where chrsitians would kill a pagan for not converting to christianity,some were even burned alive.

what i am saying here is lets interpret things according to the context and background of when and where a certain data was written.

still, I wish that you would have a leader that would be able to control those extremists and end this misinterpretation of you doctrine in Islam...

I actually admire how devoted those guys are... willing to die a horrible death for their God but its just that, they have the (correct me if I'm wrong) wrong idea on how to please your God...

Sir this is for muslims and non-muslims.

for muslims beause they are adopting the fundamentalist's idealism

for non-muslims so they know what real islam is.

The extremists are obviously have some problems in their interpretation of islam. We cant go to them and say hey ayusin nyo buhay nyo, they might shoot us. what we moderate muslims can do is use media to show them and the public what real islam is.


There are billions of muslims out there that are living in peace and going along fine in their lives. These terrorists are what,say, thousands, that believes in fundamentalism. Compare the numbers and youll get a picture of what islam believes. If these billions practice what the fundamentalists believe then i think sir dugay nata nag WW3.

I see the idea but before I move on, I would like to tell you that the last paragraph was unnecessary. I would like to point out that it is not possible for a WW3 to happen over a religious strife because you would have been wiped out before it even started or grow in numbers. Why? Being too radical or you say fundamentalist affects not just families but the whole society, religious or not, it's hurting everybody, and what is evil should be extinguished.

Anyway, moving along, I agree that alot of us specially where I am right now, show a co-existence between muslims and non-muslims. It's a good thing, you should be happy about this.

We also have to remember that during the medieval times... there was a period called the crusades where Christians from different kingdoms in Europe were out conquering nations who were not believers of Christ either by converting them and having the king of that land sign a treaty with them to join or by going to war against that country which was originally a movement to take Jerusalem back from the muslims... if that happened during our time, maybe it would have been seen as a different thing...

but, with all due respect, I'd still would like to differ on how muslims look at Jesus Christ...

as a Christian, Jesus is Lord not a prophet...

Your point is? We know about Crusades and Muslims where is the relevance to being peaceful and co-existence of muslims and non-muslims?

Agree.. Both Christianity ang Islam has their dark side.. Its the work of the devil, using religion. And i believe its not God's will. Those people are not of God.

faith is not the problem, but the faithful are.

islam is no different. christianity is no different. judaism is no different. we all have black sheep in our flocks. if we could only be tolerant of other religions, then we could have a chance at world peace.

no religion is better than the other. for there is no religion higher than Truth.

What is truth? Is it profoundly learned by living life in a day to day basis? Is it a trial and error method?

my point is sir, when things are done by a group of people and carry the name of the religion that they represent, it should not be generalized... same that happened with the crusades... same that happened in 911... same on what's happening with those extremists that are declaring Jihad to the whole non muslim community...

If you have the same view as to those people who think all muslims are terrorists, then you're no different to those extremists...

hence.. a 2nd look on Islam...

though they have a different faith doesn't mean you treat them lower than you...
