Second Look on Islam

Islam is a beautiful religion.

Yes we should not collectively blame the entire religion because of a sectarian group's beliefs and their methods/practices of Islam. It is being irresponsible and disrespectful, we don't want to be treated that way. It just so happen extremist and radical founded groups are muslims. Even in our country, remember there was a time during one Christmas season, a muslim suicide bomber killed hundreds of people in a LRT station. One of the people who died there was my aunt.

There is nothing wrong with the religion itself but how people interpret them and how these people influence other people, makes the religion. I cannot say that I'll avenge my aunt's death by killing dozens of muslims, it makes me no different from them. I do feel that the muslims are treated indifferently of just being who they are, ie Australia.

Spitefully, instead of us giving islam a second look why not the muslim themselves take a second look of their religion and figure out, how was it possible (ironically) these extremist and radical founded sects evolve in hatred and hostility against innocent commuters like my aunt?

What im trying to say is why not fix your internal issues first before preaching to us how beautiful Islam is.

Have you? People here in istorya aren't ignorant, well most anyway. So far all you have blabbered about is your own interpretation of the world. Praising people who agree with you yet crapping on those that disagree? You sir are a tool. A defensive tool at that, I guess that happens when your religion is barraged with bad pr and over sensationalizing media. Tell me what should i do sir? my religion is being stained by a few misguided muslims, what should i do,close my mouth and just allow misrepresentation and fundamentalism to go unchecked?

Of course i am defensive and there is nothing wrong with that, battling against misconception is the path towards proper understanding. for non-muslims so they know what real islam is.

The extremists are obviously have some problems in their interpretation of islam. We cant go to them and say hey ayusin nyo buhay nyo, they might shoot us. what we moderate muslims can do is use media to show them and the public what real islam is.


There are billions of muslims out there that are living in peace and going along fine in their lives. These terrorists are what,say, thousands, that believes in fundamentalism. Compare the numbers and youll get a picture of what islam believes. If these billions practice what the fundamentalists believe then i think sir dugay nata nag WW3.

We also have to remember that during the medieval times... there was a period called the crusades where Christians from different kingdoms in Europe were out conquering nations who were not believers of Christ either by converting them and having the king of that land sign a treaty with them to join or by going to war against that country which was originally a movement to take Jerusalem back from the muslims... if that happened during our time, maybe it would have been seen as a different thing...

but, with all due respect, I'd still would like to differ on how muslims look at Jesus Christ...

as a Christian, Jesus is Lord not a prophet...

those times are really different from our time. There was even instances where chrsitians would kill a pagan for not converting to christianity,some were even burned alive.

what i am saying here is lets interpret things according to the context and background of when and where a certain data was written.

islam is no different. christianity is no different. judaism is no different. we all have black sheep in our flocks. if we could only be tolerant of other religions, then we could have a chance at world peace.

no religion is better than the other. for there is no religion higher than Truth.
