Usa sa tradition sa simbahan nga gikan sa sayop nga translation mao ang lenten season.
Sa biernes santo gibawal ang pagkaon og karne.
Apan ang original nga text nagpasabot sa "food of the flesh".
    Ang translation nahimong "meat".
unta bawal ang "***" kay maoy gipasabot nga nahasulat.
Apan lagi sayop ang interpretation mao nga karne na nuon ang bawal.

You can always read or refer to the original dead sea scrolls preserved in a museum in Israel. If you can read greek or Aramaic.

isa ra paagi para ma prove nimu ang biblia, sunda kunu gitudlo sa biblia nya lantawa imu kinabuhi ug namaayu ba nga nisunod ka...

for me simple lng mn cguro mga bro and sis.
if you believe your own Bible is the one contains the right words then so be it.
if others also believe then so be it.

how to conclude. sko lng ha ky lahi man ta ninyo lagi pag determine kinsa tama.
read your Bible and also read the Bible of others. then if ma prove nimo nga pareha lng ug thoughts and meaning ang imo, ako ug iyahang Bible, so whats wrong nga dli ta mo too?
and most of all, PRAYER. thats our communication with God.

So base ta tanan sa Bible. unless cguro if dli mo too sa Bible.

    about FAITH also.

    James 2
2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

See, even the only son of Abrahan gani iya gi offer just to prove sa iya faith sa Ginoo.
so e prove diay nato ang ato faith by works, dli lng ky mo ingon ta nga enough na nga naa ta faith mga bro and sis.

Just imagine, even satan gani ni tremble and believe nga there is One God, kita pa kaha dli mo too.

    God Bless

So, to all of you out there, i would like to know your opinion...

    Thank you...
Yes our modern translations reflect and hold the original and true meaning of the original Scriptures. We are one step away from the Hebrew (some parts Aramaic) for the Old Testament, and Greek for the New Testament.

Take for example the English versions that we have: There are two categories by which our versions were translated, namely: Dynamic Equivalence (thought-for-thought) and Literal translations (word-for-word).

Each versions (with their corresponding categories) have their own strengths and weakness: not on their fidelity or infidelity to what the original text meant BUT on the nuances of the original languages.

So my piece of advice for a serious Bible student is to get a dynamic equivalence version (like the New International Version) then pair it up with a literal version (like the New American Standard Bible, English Standard Version, or even the King James Version--if you don't have any difficulties coursing your way through Elizabethan-era English hehehe!). Better yet, study the original languages of the Bible.

Bible translators (alongside with the scholars) always study the original languages before they can come up with a version that caters to different languages and dialects.

    Hope this will help.
