very nice. ok naman gani ang eee 701. ang dili nako ganahan kay ang 800x600 nga display sa eee 701 kay kapoy ayo mag sigi ug lihok ang screen.
so nice improvement na ang eee 901.
saw an EEE 900 at SM yesterday.. priced at 23.8K++ both Linux and WinXP versions (20GB and 12GB). looks nice, and tempting.
you should buy the Linux version, and just install a "copy" of WinXP later. ;-P
ask lang mga bro kani iya hd ba kay ma upgrade ni? tnx
i have an white 4gb asus eee pc. bought about 2 months ago.
running on Windows. though presently i returned it to thinking tools ayala since theres a problem with the wifi radio. even if i reformatted it and re-installed the wifi driver.
i presently have an 8gb pqi flash drive to support all my files. but planning to upgrade to something higher.. its a toss between a 16gb flash drive which is MUCH more portable and fits in your pocket with no inconvenience OR a 160gb Western Digital passport size external HDD which is a bit big. both are ALMOST equal in price if you know where to buy.
so far the heaviest app running is i ges McAfee 2008. well i find it a heavy app since it takes soo much ram upon scanning.
programs on my asus are the basic:
windows xp OS
ms office
ym
browsers (safari, mozilla)
bitcomet
itunes
anti spywares
**just for basic use and easy portability, presentations and research work since im still a student**
what i can say about it? freakishly small and can get a little sluggish sometimes due to its limitation but i have to say its really the most portable computer up to date.
well.. thats what i think..
Have you seen the competition for the EEepc? deep blue H1, parehas ka gamay pero 1gb ang ram and 40 gb ang Hard disk, web cam and wifi pud
boss how can i chat using a webcam with the linux os? naa ba? waman koy budget mag xp gud
Really depends on what you use the eeePC for. I am going for the HP Mini Note next month as I need the larger keyboard.
Of course the eeePC can be useful for those who want a very portable laptop which they can use to go online or to view documents. Just don't expect that you'll be able to create documents that fast compared to your regular laptop or PC. There's a new eeePC version released in Taiwan that has a larger keyboard, but I'll probably get the HP Mini Note as there's no word on how much the new version will cost and when it will be released in the Philippines (or in Cebu).
