    Lack of love for country.

People with minds set on getting out of the country.

    No long term plans...

    Patronage Politics

Systemic Corruption in society (not just government)

Disproportionate division of wealth causing the rich to lord over the less fortunate

Church that does not have the moral will to act

People who are easily swayed by money... (cant blame them though)

What hinders up filipino is the mindset:

    I'll never amount to anything
    I'm born poor
    Rich are Evil
Money is the root of all evil
Rich get richer and the poor gets poorer
    and etc.

We have to change our mindset about these things cause these are cancers to society.
Old beliefs that are not real, these were implanted to us when we were young, television, newspaper and all those negative forces around us.

Seek education and learn to remove these negative programs in life.

Discipline, Discipline, Discipline, Discipline, Discipline............................thats what hinders the filipinos fom prosperity!!!

Bertrand Russell agrees, "Nothing of importance is ever achieved without discipline. I feel myself sometimes not wholly in sympathy with some modern educational theorists, because I think that they underestimate the part that discipline plays. But the discipline you have in your life should be one determined by your own desires and your own needs, not put upon you by society or authority."

You may be talented, wealthy and famous, but without discipline, you are nothing. As author H. Jackson Brown Jr. reiterated, "Talent without discipline is like an octopus on roller skates. There's plenty of movement, but you never know if it's going to be forward, backwards, or sideways."

George Washington, the first American president, noted: "Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable, procures success to the weak, and esteem to all." David Campbell pointed out: "Discipline is remembering what you want." Four-time Oscar winner Katharine Hepburn observed, "Without discipline, there's no life at all."

it's the people actually...we Filipinos have the mentality to DESTROY one another instead of BUILDING our selves to be a better person.. we should support one another in times of need and not to think about our own selves because that is already GREED... we Filipinos are not to-be-called lazy, lack of education, etc... because anybody don't need education just to become prosperous and something like that..we need ourselves to become a better citizen to the country...it should start with our inner selves and the faith we have for one another to help the country become a better place to live in...we should help BUILD, not DESTROY!!!!

First of all, we the Filipinos are great imitators, we have our own culture, but we like to imitate other cultures of other countries. We should stick to our own. Selfishness, I don't have to explain that, most of you know that. Discipline, we are lacking on that. There are so many factors why we are what we are.
