Lack of education keeps us from prospering. If we were all educated, we'd make better decisions - we would vote more intelligently, we'd be more practical, we'd be more aware of our rights, we'd get better jobs, we'd be more practical in using our vocational and technical skills, we'd have better finance management, we'd only have a few children and so on.
Corruption also makes us poor.
YOu got it right bro! Education is the KEY to fight corruption! there's a saying that goes "Way mangilad ug way magpailad" if naay mo corrakot nimo they think they are superior than you sa imong pang huna2x so they take advantage to that.. if ikaw mag pa da kay wa kay kalibutan sud kas bulsa.
too much people power, rally, coups, etc... morag banana republic.. ok na unta kaayo ang economy, kalit lang motungha ang mga whistleblowers kunohay.... mao na walay asenso....![]()

As i have said in my other post, we can no longer console ourselves in the strength of the peso, the narrowing budget deficit, low interest rate and high economic growth. Even these ephemeral gains have not translated into a better life for the majority of our people, especially the poor. Because we have politicians like PGMA, her husband, and Abalos who are greedy. Admit it, corruption is the source why we are not yet prospering as a nation. The most disappointing of all is that, corruption has crept into the highest echelons of government.
Lozado shouldn't be blamed for exposing the mess of the present administration. Let us uplift the morality of this country by supporting the fight of Jun Lozada.
Aren't you bothered by the silence of PGMA on the issue? It is very distubing, isn't it?
im not bothered yet because of the fact na wala pa man jd silay evidence.. all of it are mere allegations... im not pro-GMA ha but I think that like any other person, she deserves a fair trial and not a trial by publicity.. why not let the courts decide? if they indeed have proofs of these alleged corruptions then present it to the court.. dili kay mag-martsa2x dayon.. wait lang unta sila sa due process kay unsa man diay gamit sa atong laws kung di nato i-follow... morag wala na tay government kung ingon ana... may pa anarchy nalang... heheOriginally Posted by phm

Filipinos don't prosper because of the disparity between the haves and the have nots.
The rich get richer and exploit the poor.
This is why the less fortunate are marginalized and dis-empowered and finally succumb to just making do with what they have and in a desperate attempt to uplift their status... quarrel for scraps from the rich people's tables.. some even result to thievery and are easily swayed with money. Others seek for better opportunities outside the country and most just work and refuse to participate in protests fearful of losing what little they have left.
Damn!! Why do we always have to blame it to the government? With or without the government, Filipinos can still prosper. Take note, it's can, not will. Everything starts from one's self and we are all masters of our own fate. We have somehow the control to our future. It's a matter of hard and smart work and not relying and ranting about how poor and corrupt our government is. It won't do any good anyway.Admit it, corruption is the source why we are not yet prospering as a nation. The most disappointing of all is that, corruption has crept into the highest echelons of government.
