    so meaning, pinoys (inherent forces)
    and, foreign entities (outside forces)
currently hinders the Filipino from prospering...

    just my 2 cents...

    inherent forces:
crab mentality = pgka masuya-on sa kapwa, back-stabber, dauton ang kapwa pinoy
colonial mentality = thinking we r inferior compared to Spanish or Americans
bahala-na mentality = not thinking twice or thrice before making any steps or actions
1 day millionaire mentality = savings not the 1st priority
mantinir mentality = ok ra buwad basta happy
"too-religious" mentality = too dependent on God (or church), not working hard for himself

    outside forces:
communism = influence frm China = CPP/NPA = creates fear, less peace & order = less business climate
separatist movements = supported by Arab countries = MILF/MNLF = creates fear, less peace & order = less business climate
terrorism = Al Qaida = Abu Sayaff = creates fear, less peace & order = less business climate

here's more inherent forces of the pinoy:

    "Imeldific" complex = doña-tic. (my mom's guilty of dat..nyahaha)
"Corylific" complex = "im just a plain housewife for Pete's sake! but let us all pray and dont forget to vote for
    me as president ha!"(joke only.hehe)
"Ramosific" complex = "huh? Expo scam? T-Bill scam? but im out of the country most of the time w/ my cuban
    cigars." (joke again hehe)
"Erapic" complex = "huwag nyo akong subokan! pero kng sakali eh huwag nlng ho!" (again joke only..hehe)
"Gloriatic" complex = "Hello Garci? paki-text nlng just to be sure..."(hehe)
"Trillanic" complex = messianic complex, feeling he's "the one" Neo. (sorry Trilla fans ha, peace!) hehe

Our propensity to get married even without any sufficient source of income yet and plain pag-katapulan.

As to outside forces postulated by giddyboy, he might have skipped the potent one:

US Imperialism=through IMF/Worldbank and puppet regime=creates economic policies geared towards their interest to the detriment of our own=unfavorable business climate for local industries.

...cebu peeps think they r superior than other visayan folks.
...pampanggenos think they r the most superior (joke ra jud ni ha..hehe)

i should say...you're a good reductionist hehe. if all filipinos would only think that way it would be easy for them to identify problems and solutions. but one thing thats scarce also with our folks is the guts and willpower to correct what they see as something wrong.

As individuals, walay maka-hinder nato from prospering. All you need is three things.
    1. Have good education.
    2. Strive hard
    3. Trust in the Lord.
Corruption & poverty is not a reason nga dili ta mo-asenso. Other nations nga asenso, wala man na sila gipakaon sa gobyerno. Nagkugi man sad na sila sa ilang kaugalingon to survive. I'm proud to say this kay ako na nabuhat sa ako kaugalingon.
