Good day istoryans!
FYI: I'm not a Cisco certified, I'm also not network guru. I'm just basing everything on my experience.
Scenario:
I got 3 physical network as of the moment.
1. Admin Network compose of the following: (Back bone: Cat 6 cascading)
* Database Server
* Application Server
* POS Server
* Etc..
2. Guest WIFI (Back Bone: Cat6 cascading)
3. IP CCTV (Back Bone: Fiber)
What can you suggest? Stick to 3 physical network or change it to virtual network and use fiber as back bone to 3 network?
I was thinking that, these existing physical network cost them huge amount of expenses. And fiber optic back bone for CCTV network is just a waste of investment since it is just used for CCTV.
My question is this:
1. If I will convert the Guest WIFI and IP CCTV network into Virtual is it going to be okay interms of data transfer and all?
2. Do I need a fiber optic core switch?
3. What will I do so that I won't experience bottle neck on the data transfer?
4. Is there a chance of improving the data transfer for the Admin Network?
My target:
1. Fiber Optic will be used as Back Bone for the existing 3 Physical Network.
Note: I already have HP managed switch which is everything is in flat network design only.
Your inputs are highly appreciated.
Thank you and have a great day!
