Just a piece of advice, don't forget to SAVE/INVEST while you are still young. Basin dili naka mangita og dream company, instead mag-early retirement naka at the age of 35 or 40.

sa akoa lang boss, late na gyud ko nakasugod og invest. ang pinakauna gyud kay live with your means, we know dako2x gyud og rate kitang naa sa IT industry(better paid than other industries). Once dako atoa income, tempted gyud ta to buy what we want even if we don't esentially need them(luxury) like, gadgets, clothes & others. Kung hilig ka og lunch out, try to prepare your own baon. di bale na kung tawgon ka og kuripot ikaw ra man gihapon makapahimulos sa imo sakripisyo in the long run(delayed gratification).

"it is now how much you earn but how much you save"

With regards to budgeting, for 3 months, list down all your expenses and track all of it. Pwede man nimo makita ang imo mga expenses na pwede maminimize or ieliminate(unnecessary expenses). With the 3 months of data, you can now allocate a certain budget for food, transpo, utility bills, cc payment and misc. Once you have a budget learn to live with it na paigo ra gyud nimo.

Dayon all the remaining money that you have for the month, pwede na nimo isave(deposit sa banko or coop) or you can even invest it sa mutual fund, uitf or directly sa stock market. most financial planners/advisers always recommends to have an emergency fund of at least 6 months worth of your monthly expenses, though wala ni nako gisunod. Akoa ra gidungan2x ang pagbuildup sa akoa emergency fund og sa akoa stock investment kay para nako importante ang panahon na molabay considering I'm already in my late 20's when I started.

For more information, basa2x lang sa mga financial blogs like kang fitz villafuerte. Sorry kung taas2x og off topic pa gyud. hehe, pero I'm hoping makatabang ni.

    OnT:
Naa man ubay2x mga companies nga naa pa retirement benefits. Mostly kay international companies, pero maihap ra sa tudlo ang sa mga local.
