bro @mitzc, basta serious work load na ang professional apps mo support ug professional level GPU, mas better gyud kani ang gamiton... not a good move kun ang gamiton kay gaming GPU...

in business, "Time is money"... need gyud na na gastoha ang capital kay mabawi ra man ni's revenue... ang mga professional application, maka benefit ni sila's professional level GPUs kay mao ni ang intended use nila. maka gamit ra man ta'g gaming GPUs but in terms of work efficiency and output quality, its a night and day gyud if the professional apps will use the power of the function and power for a Quadro or a FirePro...

"Workstation" GPU is not advisable for "Octane"...
Latest "Octane" is dependent on CUDA cores (Nvidia GTX)....Make sure their is proper cooling/ventilation when using multi-GPU....If possible, remove GPU's plastic cover/shroud for better air circulation. Water cooling is best if using 2 or more GPU's since VC spacing is tight.

isa ra man ni nga vcard boss Jess hehehe mao ra ning quadro ang main work station. ni suggest sad ko aning octane sa draftsman pero ana sya dili daw ma convert iyang work sa CAD to octane mao iyang ingun. keyshots ra iyang gamit ug CAD ug naa pa toy lain.

usa man na CAD iya gamit diay? naa may international standards gi adopt ang mga CAD software like STEP and IGES. dxf for drawings.

I am sure octane can open step or iges files(correct me if im wrong). CAD software "should" be able to export and import step and iges files based sa standard. sa ako lang nahibaw-an

3ds > *.obj > Octane.....obj should be included if using 3ds. If not, check Autodesk for plug-in (obj is open source)
