Hi Guys naa mi nakuha nga specs for our newly server pero dili ko sure if unsai e dugang ani sa iyang specs.. actually for typical domain and file storage server rani cya.. patabang lang ko ninyo unsai mas maayo e puno ani..

How many clients? If not that many, sayang ra unya imong hardware mahal ra ba nang pang server.

kung FreeNAS hisgutan in respect to their hardware requirements kay ma-o ni: Hardware Requirements - FreeNAS Project

pero..., kung ako lang, bisan any recent PROC pwede na. da-ogon ra gyud ni sa 'storage media' (first is speed, second is size) and lastly a good LAN/NIC (specially an INTEL one)


TS..., imo info kay kulang, like:
-> unsa connection from server to clients? gigabit ba tanan? or sagol (i.e. 1g, 100m, wifi)?
-> pila kabu-ok ang mu connect simultaneously sa server?
-> unsa kadaghan sa files ang i-access sa server? and how big are they?

hatag ani nga info bro, mu-recomment rani sila tanan.

Sa amo, approximate 20-30 users. Xeon E5450, 8GB RAM. Dili man namo ma saturate ang processor or memory. I/O amo problem, sometimes 100% disk usage and LAN traffic. Maybe you need to evaluate your load before investing in hardware.
