another sample :
synonyms ning tulo ka words below.. (giapilan nalang nako ug Very Good para mas dali masabtan)
base sa akong mga nakita, inani ang ranking sa mostly schools and opisina or maski sa asa pa siguro nga establishment nga naa rating/ranking system. (wa nalang nako giapil ang poor. haha)
3rd Very Good
2nd Excellent
1st Outstanding
kanang 3 ka words kay puros complimentary / positive words, and they all can have almost the same meaning kung imo na siyang gamiton sa sentence which makes them synonyms (the same or nearly the same meaning) BUT if e.rank nimo sila. mo outsand jd si outsanding kay "outstand" gd dba?
murag ang imo rang gibasa or gisabot man gd bro kay ang taphaw ra nga definition sa words maong makaingon ka nga same ra and maong maglibog sad ka.. pero kung imong sawmon ang kinailagmang bahin sa pulong, naa jd nay kaugalingong position/gamit nang mga pulonga..
kung gamitan nimog simple logic, nganong naa may word nga excellent/outstanding kung exactly the same jd ang meaning nila.. why not just stick with excellent or outstanding pra way libog.. hehe
Again, ang tubag nako sa imong pangutana kay higher jd si outstanding kaysa kang excellent.
nindot ning wa tay lingaw da.. hahaha
PS : wa jd ko nagpinamaster ha.. opinion ra ni akoa kay nangayo ug opinion si TS.. kabaw ko nga daghan kaayong banggiitan diri and open ko for corrections or criticism..![]()

Excellent = extremely good
Outstanding = exceptionally good
synonyms ra ni sila, or equal.. ang kalaenan, dependi ra asa ka komportabli gamiton ana nila.
unsa man pud ng synonym? = a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase
Katong elementary pa ko mas dako ang Outstanding kaysa Excellent.
Mao ni ang grading system labi na sa values education:
Outstanding(0) Excellent(E) Fair(F) Poor(P) Very Poor(VP)
Words with the same meaning doesn't necessarily have the same usage. Excellent and outstanding are 2 different words that are "again" , "synonymous" or "similar" to each other. As what my love has said, both words refer to performance in particular. But with regards to which of the two words is higher when giving compliments or describing a person, I'd say outstanding is higher. Being Excellent is a compliment that a person is being given or described to when achieving something without having the need of becoming competitive . Being Outstanding strongly suggests that one is superior from the rest.

@larisse @Wynna naa pa gani outstanding debt
ts, tan-aw nako morag dili ni mahuman nga istorya. excellent and outstanding are basically the same thing. the issue you brought up here arose from the fact that there are those who think one is a cut above the other. methinks the words mean the same and can be used interchangeably with no resulting casualty. hahaha
