Bati jud nig influence sa mga kabataan. Kita pa mo sa pag audition nila sa Araneta, thousands gahuwat para lang maka audtion ang uban ga buntagay pa para maka puesto ug tarung. Ana sila ka desperate. Ako gatan-aw nakaingon nalang gud nga maypa mang escuela mog tarung para maau pa inyo future kaysa magdahum mo nga ma artista nga puerting hanapa. Imaging out of tens of thousands ang ila pillion less than 20 ra.

Lahi na man pod nga kabataan karon kaysa una. Ako sa gamay pa malingaw nalang ko sa Sesame Street, kay makat-on pa. Karon pod either National Geographic or Discovery. Di ko hilig anang mga reality tv kay wala gyuy istorya. It's only about people's lives.

Nothing can be done to prevent this. If you look at europe and other 1st world states they are far more aware or rather if you may 'liberated' yet their cases of stds or unwanted pregnancies are low compared to ours. Even their Big Brother version are even more racy which makes our very tame.

It's no longer a question of morality, but a compromise of compliance and awareness.

Morality is subjective, it does not change with the cyclic nature of the times.

"TV for pure entertainment only" is like mini-communism. TV is for everything, learning starts at home. Anyone can turn on television and to be updated by evening news, learn through documentaries, entertained by sitcoms, and relaxed wih music videos. This is what we call "Multi-functional Media".

You can't put your own thinking and let that reasoning twist the fact that Television impacts a child's learning. Child Psychologists use TV as a medium to improve or determine a child's mental development. Just because some individual stereotypes a TV as a tube with wires and lights that entertain, it doesn't mean the rest of the population will deem it as "entertainment ony" type of medium. They don't.

Again, the bottomline here is that people need a varied selection on how they spend their Television time. Government agencies don't offer these options.

It is a good example! A very good example of how idiotic people have become. You show to the whole nation a group of people (male, female, teens, etc) and ask them why they joined PBB, common answer is: "para ipakita sa buong sambayanan kun ano ang kaya ko at mahanap ang sarili."

I'd like to quote a very nice tweet of Lourd De Veyra of tv5.

"Dear mga bata: Kung gusto niyo talagang makatulong sa pamilya niyo. Wag kayong mag artista. Mag aral kayo. Gusto mahanap ang sarili? Pumunta sa bundok, monasteryo, magdasal, tumulong sa tao. Wag pumasok sa studio na puro kamera bawat kanto."

Kind a bit Ironic for Mr. De Veyra. A person who's been with a small time jazz-rock band for years then pursued a career in showbiz.

There are many means of entertainment or fun AND educational at the same time...Its just that these TV channel is trying to market their network thru ***, violence, etc...And I wonder why MTRCB has not been preventing these kind of show....
