+1 i love cebu but i got the say... it safer there... unless tag-iya kag motor unya pataka ug parking.... my wife is from tanjay, and i always go to dgte from time to time... i suggest take a cebu-dumaguete trip para wala nay hassle... sakay first trip usually 11PM-1AM ang sched...

@ireneolive as usual it takes more time kung adto sa mga lakes or upland(pabukid) ky most of the roads are still not that developed.

approx time lang ni ako ma'am..anyone can correct me if i'm wrong.

Northbound from city:
San Jose (Twin lakes) = 30mins to san jose another 30mins to twin lakes.
Bais(dolphin watching) = 45mins to 1hr to bais proper. depende sa speed and traffic
Manjuyod (white sand bar) = 15-30mins from bais proper.

Southbound from city:
Dauin (marine sanctuary or Apo Island) = 15-30mins to dauin proper.
Siaton(lake balanan). = 2hrs

usually mas easier and faster kung private vehicle gamiton kung mga lakes ang destination. pero pag beach lang it is ok mag commute

para paspas ang travel take a non-stop ceres bus.... they may charge you the fare all the way... pero may nalang na kay sa anang kada poste mo hunong.... ig kabalo ka mo drive motor... rent nalang daghan pa rent diha sa dgte.... naay daghan mag linya duol diha sa lee plaza...

daghan barato ka stayhan sa dumaguete! try ang harolds hotel barato ra kaau na! then daghan kasuroyan didto actually pwde ka magsearch sa google ug mga blogs lang. been there a lot of times already

for transpo, i suggest pag bus na lang kay mas cheaper, 550 back and forth nana including barge fee. sakay ka sa southbus ug bus na byahe to dumaguete jud, 6am ang pinakasayo na byahe.

ika-abot nimo dumaguete, pwde ka abang ug motor (dala lag lisensya nimo) if ever khbaw ka mag motor of course, or pag trisikol lang, ingna harolds hotel.

para sa kaon2 nimo, barato ra jud ila foods. pwde ka sa robinsons mukaon or para cheap jud, sa tiangge grabe makalanag jud sa kalami ilang puto ug sikwate (para pamahaw) then naa ray mga kan-anan dha.

For laag2, again mas sayon if khbaw ka motor para abang raka then laag all you want, adto mog valencia forest camp 80 ang entrance, dala nana sa pool tables, naa silay zipline dha ug wall climbing for 50PHP ra each. then before ka abot sa forest camp naa say lain resort dha, naa silay ATV pool, zip line sad and stuff limot ko sa price. pwde sad mo from dumaguete, side trip mog manjuyod sandbar
