I just wanna be alone and rediscover myself. Lol bitaw ganahan rako maka move on from a bad phase sa ako life
hi TS! I went there last weekend May 16-17 pero sa Siquijor jud amo main trip. side trip lang sa Dumaguete kay wala mi kaapas sa last trip. nag land trip mi from Cebu to Dumaguete via Sibulan. Naay bus taman lang sa Bato naa pud straight to Dumaguete aron di naka mag naog2x. So straight pa Dumaguete amo nasakyan. Bus fare Php225. Then sakay ferry boat Php70 fare. Pag abot overnight stay mi sa World Pension Plaza. Php800 ata to room rate. Situated sa downtown near Silliman University. Walking distance ra sad sya padung boulevard where pwede ka mag suroy2x pahangin. Fronting the Boulevard is Sans Rival restaurant who sells the famous silvanas. Hope this helps.

PS: Ug taas imo time to travel, it would be nice if mo lahos kag Siquijor ts. labang lang ka from Dumaguete. sure ko maka unwind jud ka didto. daghan nindot laagan ug super ka nindot na island.

Sus! Sayanga wa ko sa Dgte TS. i.tour unta tika sa Dumaguete ug neighboring places or even the whole island. road trip nindut TS, only one road that goes around all of Negros Island.

    On to your questions:

    1. How to get there from Cebu City.
Take southbound ceres bus to Liloan port --> take ferry to sibulan --> take multicab or bus to dumaguete which is around 15-20mins travel depending on traffic. Or take the direct ceres bus trip Cebu city to Dumaguete.

    2. Places to see (Dumaguete)
Honestly, daghan masuroyan sa Dumaguete and neighboring towns. Dumaguete is the take off point going to San Jose (Twin lakes); Bais(dolphin watching);Manjuyod (white sand bar); Dauin (marine sanctuary or Apo Island); Siaton(lake balanan) and many more and di sad layo ang travel.

    3. Hotel/inn/lodge
Depends on your budget TS. 1st time ka mu adto Dgte? there are a lot of places to stay. I suggest to stay in the hotels/inns in the downtown area so you'll have easy access/walking distance to the baywalk(Rizal Boulevard) and 24hrs fast food joints.

    4. Safety tips since solo female traveller ko hehe
I think Dgte is safer compared to Cebu. but it is still best to contact (IF you have any) anyone that you might know or a friend na naa sa Dumaguete.

Enjoy your trip and hopefully it can help you move on from your as you call it "bad phase" sa imo life.

@ireneolive as usual it takes more time kung adto sa mga lakes or upland(pabukid) ky most of the roads are still not that developed.

approx time lang ni ako ma'am..anyone can correct me if i'm wrong.

    Northbound from city:
San Jose (Twin lakes) = 30mins to san jose another 30mins to twin lakes.
Bais(dolphin watching) = 45mins to 1hr to bais proper. depende sa speed and traffic
Manjuyod (white sand bar) = 15-30mins from bais proper.

    Southbound from city:
Dauin (marine sanctuary or Apo Island) = 15-30mins to dauin proper.
    Siaton(lake balanan). = 2hrs

usually mas easier and faster kung private vehicle gamiton kung mga lakes ang destination. pero pag beach lang it is ok mag commute
