10 REASONS TO STUDY IN EUROPE
UK, France, Spain, Ireland… they all have amazing things to offer. That’s why I want to share with you my reasons to study in this great continent.
WORLD STANDING
Europe is an important centre of innovation and a driving force behind scientific progress with unparalleled standard of teaching. Great intellectual and technical innovations have made Europe what it is today: a leader in areas of the liberal arts, in design and fashion, in banking and financing, in the media and in telecommunications technologies.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
In Europe you find higher education and training directly connected to business, industry and on-the-job work experience, making it a great place to expand your career opportunities. Companies from countries around the world continue to invest in the international market and need graduates directly connected with a rapidly changing world. For employers, a student who has studied abroad is self-motivated, independent, willing to embrace challenges, and able to cope with diverse problems and situations.
AVAILABILITY
Education in Europe is considered a basic right and great effort is undertaken to ensure that the more than 6,000 higher education institutions are open to anyone with the appropriate qualifications. Schemes such Erasmus Mundus has served as platform for people from all over the world to come and enjoy that very same right with Europeans.
AFFORDABLE
Tuition fees either do not exist in some countries, or are very modest if charged at all. Also there are plenty of bursaries and grants available for overseas researchers. Europe welcomes bright minds from all over the world with open arms.
DIVERSE CAMPUSES
European universities are becoming increasingly internationalized. Already, more than 100,000 students from Asia alone are currently studying at higher learning institutions throughout the European Union. All nationalities are represented in this continent and everyone can find their place here.
LEARN A LANGUAGE
Even though English is sufficient to study in most EU universities, studying in Europe will give you the great opportunity to learn a language. You will be immersed in a culture that speaks the language you are learning. You're surrounded by the language on a daily basis, seeing and hearing it in the proper cultural context - what better time to learn! Plus, these are languages which transcend Europe, and which will come in useful later in life, for both work and pleasure.
LOTS TO DO AND SEE
During study breaks, you can also enjoy the vibrant life of modern Europe: contemporary music trends, modern dance, avant-garde theatre and cosmopolitan traditions! Europe is very well connected by train or you can also take advantage of low-price flights across Europe.
NEW FRIENDS
Study in Europe gives you the opportunity to make friends around the world. While abroad, you will meet not only natives to the culture in which you are studying, but also other international students who are as far from home as yourself. These are friends you could know for the rest of your life! Plus you can make excuses to visit their home countries and you're guaranteed a place to stay (if you're nice).
CONFIDENCE BOOST
Studying in a place like Europe increases your self confidence and maturity. The variety of European cities and cultures allow you to learn a great deal about the world, about yourself and about how to succeed in a foreign environment. You'll grow up very quickly studying abroad in Europe than you would studying at home.
BROADEN YOUR MIND
Europe is the best place to develop a broader mind. Europe is commonly known for being a place of acceptance and tolerance, and studying here will teach you to be open minded and accepting of other people’s points of view and attitudes. For example, the Netherlands are very casual when it comes to consumption of certain drugs.
