hopefully di nani mocrash ug maayo ako pc para di jud masayang tanan. now im using ATI radeon 9250 128mb 4x/8x video card. so far so good. 2days running wala man problem. lindut ang ATI kay naa option iyang panel to run the card at 4x instead of 8x. and also, checking on the specs, it utilize agp 2.0 which is the agp version of my mobo. so hopefully this will turn out great na.. ill just have to worry about the RAM if it really is the cause of my problems. besides warranty paman pud. peace out people
thats why its advisable to use duoble sided RAM on older motherboards...based on experience and thru reading..Originally Posted by benchkicker

• ddr400 - 256MB : single sided / 4blocks
** this is contructed with the newer technology ( 288mbit +/- 90nm lithography) and thus has high tendency to fail when used in older mobos.. p4vmm2 rev1 and likes.
• ddr400 - 256mb : duoble sided / 16blocks
** this is constructed with older technology (88mbit? +/130nm lithography ) and thus very compatible with older mobos, specially when ran at lower ratings and it operates at higher timings, from ddr400 @ CAS 3.5 into ddr266 CAS 2.5
= reccommended brands ; samsung;kingston; PQI
anyways..ur proccessor dictates the mobo at which speed rating will ur memory will ran..or blue screen it!
as what i have at home..
mobo : I865G springdale chipped ; dual channel x 4slots ; ddr400 capable ; HT
RAM : 2 x 512MB duoble sided 16blocks CAS 3.5 PQI sticks
processor : 2GHz Northwood core (100 x 20 ) 400MHz fsb >>maximum memory capability : 266MHz
result : lowest speed prevail for memory / highest memory capability rating prevails for cpu
: CAS 2.5 ( 133 x duoble data rate ) 266MHz / 266MHz
status : no blue screen since. running gud..can be overclocked to 2.66 and stable.
wow nice info bro. thanks. im using 512mb pc400 Kingston ddr double sided ni.
