Prevention man gyud ang unang buhaton ani.
Ang logical nga pwede buhaton sa gobyerno kai dili i-allow ug entry ang mga tao na gkan sa area na rampant ang ebola. Dili pud irisk ug deploy ang doctors dd2 sa affected area unless own will sa doctors.

    Ebola Awareness

On Aug. 8, 2014, the World Health Organization declared the Ebola outbreak in West Africa a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Since then, the outbreak has continued to grow and spread into new areas. In the absence of effective treatment and a human vaccine, raising awareness of the risk factors for Ebola infection and the protective measures individuals can take is the only way to reduce human infection and death.

    Key Facts

Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness in humans.

[*]The virus is transmitted to people from wild animals and spreads in the human population through direct contact with bodily fluids. It is not airborne.
[*]Patients are contagious only if they are exhibiting symptoms.
[*]There is no licensed vaccine or treatment proven to neutralize the virus. A range of therapies are under development.
[*]If you suspect that you have been exposed to Ebola, your best course of action is to immediately wash the exposed area with soap and water or an approved skin disinfectant then seek medical attention immediately.

    Symptoms

Early Ebola symptoms include fever, headache, weakness, joint and muscle aches, stomach pain, diarrhea and vomiting. This is followed by rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding. The incubation period – the time interval from infection with the virus to onset of symptoms – is 2 to 21 days. Eight to 10 days is average.

    Transmission

Unlike influenza or other respiratory viruses, Ebola is infectious to the human population only through direct contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals or people and indirect contact with contaminated surfaces. A patient must have symptoms to spread the disease to others.
International travelers are screened prior to flying with a visual assessment, questions about potential exposure risks, and a temperature check. These measures are in place to prevent the spread from affected countries. It is adviced that travel restrictions be issued as a precautionary measure that restricts nonessential travel to the affected areas in West Africa.
