It's good that you prevented yourself from expounding, its almost laughable as it is tragic.

Kung ikaw ma presidente (which is rhetorical), obviously gisahon ka sa pangutana... sa the way ka mutubag, you prsent arguments that have no logic, and empty. Im playing the devils advocate to see who are these idealist who are different from our current leaders. But if that is your escape from debating, go ahead. This is a forum. Your posts are open to scrutiny. Or would you rather have people licking your a$s?
    Trolling...
That is a clear example of someone ignorant of economics. This is no different from the ignorant politicians we have in the office, always mistaking intent for results.

    3. law of patronizing local products (we just have to make sure nga quality atong produkto, trainings can be done sa lain nga nasod)
    4. dapat walay bayad ang hospital, tambal, gobernyo dapat ang hospital

    1. Government business do not exist for profit. They exist to serve the public. Their operations drain tax coffers without replenishing anything productive. Most GOCCs are running on the red. If you take time to observe these goccs, the people are not as driven as private businesses. You may artificially lower the prices, but it still must be paid indirectly thru taxes. MRT is a good example. Subsidized fee, no profit, no maintenance, bad service. If it is totally run by private business, the management will be in hot water and fired on the spot. But not in GOCCs. Have you gone thru GOCCs? Compare the overall attitude and performance with their private counter parts. And.. only market competition reduce prices.
    2. This will exacerbate the GOCC problem.
    3. I dont know if this is the same as Filipino first policy but it sounds like it is. Then, some measures that should take place under this policy is to artificially disadvantage imports to favor local products. The actual effect is to force your citizens to buy inflated prices of everything, imports and local, thereby reducing their purchasing power. The local businesses will have lesser drive to imrpove their products and to cut their prices since they know foreign imports are artificially prohibitively expensive. A good example is China under Mao, Pre 1990 India, and Soviet Russia. These countries in their respective time periods where against foreign imports and levied heavy tariffs on them. The net effect was a lesser standard of living compared to countries who were less discriminating against imports.
    4. Hospitals must operate on a profit otherwise you will have hospitals that are only shells of what seems to be hospitals. to have hospitals charge nothing is to ignore the costs of doctors, nurses, equipments and their maintenance, medicines, and etc... to have government control health care is to cause more harm to people. Instead of seeking doctors or health professionals, people will need to seek political favors, otherwise they will be plagued with the inefficiences of government system, like the GOCCs. Government covering all health care costs would necessarily mean high taxes. Government doesnt have money, only the money it extracts from taxing people. And, health care being free means that people will tend to get more medical help even if it doesnt warrant any treatment, wasting time of doctors who could have spent it on patients who really needs treatment. The economic distribution of medical services will go crazy.

    5. Just look at MRT. That should convince you of its inefficiencies.

Instead of defending his position with logical arguments, he has reduced his intellectual function to silly one liners, typical. And unrelated to the topic at hand. Shame on the school where you came from.

Oh yeah, thats right. Thats your escape. You see how helpful i am to people like you, i have given you a chance to save face at the first instance. Why so serious? Afterall, its you who have detailed your sentiments initially. Why so serious when you dont have to defend your stance and prove you are that shallow. Honestly, if you refuse to defend with counter arguments, just ignore me. Youve said your piece, and thats all that matters to you. Any opposition seems unbearable to your self esteem. Piss off.

If u are not looking for a debate, why do u want to play as a devils advocate of this thread that according to the webster dictionary or online dictionary that
"a person who expresses a contentious opinion in order to provoke debate or test the strength of the opposing arguments."

    Back to the topic.
If I am president, every senior will own a house if they are born on that particular region. ^__^

But I think this thread needs to move in general discussion seems ga ask raman ug opinion from people.
