Kung mo-graduate ka sa PMA wala na diay nah ang honor code?

naa gihapon sir, pero its the personal conviction na of the alumni to observed the code. wala na ang committee nga mag imbestiga nila para mahibaw-an kung guilty sila or not. however, there is the criminal court who will judge them if ever they commit violations of the law. mas grabe pa ang punishment, dili lang separation from the service but priso pa sila.

about the news above, if ever tinuod na sya, its another prodigal son of PMA who is lost in the wilderness. dili sala sa PMA kung unsa ang buhaton sa iyang mga alumni after they went out from her hollow grounds. PMA has done her purpose and duty, that is to nurture her sons and daughters to be ready to face the real world after they graduate, to be the best of all the rest. however, she cannot assure that all of them will not be defeated of the temptations awaiting to her sons and daughters.

kung ato man jud i-generalize tanan PMA alumni tungod sa binuhatan sa usa o pailan-ilan nila nga co-alumni then buot pasabot pod diay ana nga tanang alumni sa UP, Ateneo, UST, PUP ug uban pa mga wala pod diay ayo. kay naa man pod na silay mga alumni nga na involve sa graft and corruption.

dili ta dapat mag generalize, example lang anang sa balita nga si Marcial. Siya usa lang na sya sa Class 2008. so kung 200 sila member sa Class 2008, aduna pay 199 nga honorable di ba?

because whatever discipline they learned inside the academy is implemented to prepare them when they go out in the real world that is full of temptations and challenges. so kung nawala man sila, dili na sala sa system sa PMA.

and why you said most sir? naihap ba nimo kung pila na silang mga na involved sa graft and corruption and nakompara ba nimo sa number of PMA alumni from 1901 to 2013? miabot ba sila ug 50% + 1? kay sa akoa man gud nga pagka intindi sa word nga most, it is more than half of the total number...

Philippine Military Academy cadet First Class Alvin Jeff Cudia is fighting back, as he accused members of the honor committee of changing their votes after initially clearing him on the charge of lying.

Cudia was ordered dismissed from military service by the academy after the honor committee, composed of PMA students, found him guilty of ‘lying,’ but in an honor report he filed on Feb. 3, he said it was the committee which cheated and lied in rendering the guilty verdict against him.

Major Agnes Lynnette Flores, PMA public affairs office chief, confirmed on Friday that Cudia has filed an honor report (case) against the 11 members of the honor committee, all students of the PMA.

Cudia said he learned that the result of the voting had been changed. He said there was one committee member who voted “not guilty” at the beginning and under PMA rules, a single “not guilty” vote is enough to acquit an accused.

The committee, however, returned to chambers and voted again. This time, a unanimous “guilty” verdict was handed down.

Cudia said this was not mentioned in the minutes of the case.

“I am still bound to report any violation of the honor code that came to my attention. I believe that the Honor Committee, who took charge of my case, violated the spirit of the honor code, by intending to deceive and intending to take undue advantage,” Cudia’s statement read.

Cudia argues that the committee members lied by “making a statement to me and in front of the committee during the start of the trial that one vote of not guilty is enough to acquit me when in truth and in fact, though the result as initially announced, prior to chambering was 8 guilty – 1 not guilty, I was still rendered guilty.”

“I appeal, in the name of clarity, fairness and truth that my case be reopened and carefully reviewed for I did not violate the honor code/system, I can answer NO to both questions (Did I intend to deceive? Did I intend to take undue advantage?),” Cudia said.

He also explained that he did not intend to deceive anyone with his explanation. He also believes he did not violate the code.

Cudia was penalized with 11 demerits and 13 hours of “touring” for violating the PMA’s time-honored code. He had also been placed on an indefinite leave without pay and allowances effective Feb. 10, and is forbidden from joining any more PMA activities until he was officially dismissed from the academy.

Cudia’s filing of the report was confirmed by his sister Anavee, who posted at her facebook the circumstances behind his brother’s dismissal from the academy. Her post reportedly went viral, prompting AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Emmanuel Bautista to order a review of the case.

Anavee also accused the PMA of forcing her brother to resign.

“Hindi po siya nag-resign, hindi rin siya nag-apply for indefinite leave. Kayo po nagbigay n’on. Tapos pinipilit niyo siyang mag-resign,” Anaveee said. With Dexter See

"I agree and consider that because Cadet CUDIA is under my instruction to wait, and the other cadets still have business with me, it is reasonable enough for him to say that "Our class was dismissed a bit late" (dealing with matter of seconds or a minute particularly 45 seconds to 1 minute and 30 seconds)

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) has found Cadet Jeff Aldrin Cudia not guilty of the offense he was charged with in the Philippine Military Academy and recommended to President Benigno Aquino that he be issued a diploma as a graduate of the premier military school.

In presenting the findings and recommendations in the 30-page “Final Report on Cadet Cudia,” CHR Chair Loretta Ann Rosales scolded the PMA leadership’s handling of the case, especially on the aspect of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
“The PMA leadership, by failing to exercise command responsibility, rendered itself complicit in this mockery of justice,” Rosales said in a press conference on Wednesday.

The CHR also recommended the filing of administrative, criminal (for perjury), and civil suits for violations of the Honor Code, dishonesty and violation of the secrecy of the ballot, tampering with the true result of the voting, intentional omission in the Minutes of substantive part of the formal trial proceedings which is prejudicial to the interest of justice, and discrimination, against officers and members of the Honor Committee who are now all second lieutenants.

“I, therefore, call upon the Secretary of Defense, Voltaire Gazmin, and his Excellency and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to take all possible steps to see that this is done,” Rosales said.

“The credibility of the Armed Forces and the success of its transformation program hangs on the balance,” she added.
