Later on i closed the above listed running programs.

After closing the running programs, the downloading speed increased!
How did i conclude the download speed increased without using any speed test prog?
Well from 2 hours prior closing the other progs the download time showed an estimate 46 mins to go.

    I tried another one.
I was using a magic jack talking to someone.
Later on when i opened facebook photo albums, the talk quality was not as clear as before.

Can somebody please tell me why these is so.

    Puwede ba nato maingon nga;
    - gigamit ang ubang RAM sa ubang program mao nga ang akong processor mihinay so in a way apektado ang akong download or in the case of the magicjack, ang talk quality putol putol?

Kinsay nakasuway pud ani ug unsa inyo explanation why mihinay?

Internet Technology is a combination of Hardware,Software and Bandwidth, they all play a function to some degree.Example, you could have the fastest ADSL/4G network in the world, but the packets could be dropped by an erratic browser code. Or, you could be on Dial Up and get zippyfast uploads because the L2 Cache is maxed. Its mainly ISP and how many Packets are dropped enroute that determines any speed functions.

So, Speed alone = ISP provider
When it goes inside your computer like internet browser, downloading videos, or streaming = RAM

    Thats internet 101.

take n0te magic jack uses up your bandwidth since you are transmitting/receiving
    voice t0 and fr0m the netw0rk. faceb00k als0 uses bandwidth since you are pr0bably
    streaming vide0s, viewing ph0t0s, upl0ading etc.

    OT:

RAM d0es n0t directly affect the speed of your internet. It affects the perf0rmance of your
    applicati0ns.

Your bandwidth all0cation fr0m your ISP is the 0ne that affects your br0wsing speeds.

Thanks guys for all your opinions.

Your No answers are the same as mine as you can see in my post 22.
But i also indicated a YES. i.e indirectly affecting.

Because logically speaking i am losing some bandwidth when i open another program on my computer.
It takes much longer for anything running the net than without the newer program running.
Close the other and the net speed returns.

This is how i see it: The bandwidth remains the same but the data that flows through it is not the same on the realtime as i am experiencing it. Surely RAM has got to do with that.
