She should have just kept her mouth shut as it was an inappropriate response.
She was on duty as a journalist not his wife.

Huh? Thousands of lives are lost and yet dili accountable ang atong pang-gobyerno? Even foreigners that set foot on our soil, accountable ang gobyerno ana for their safety and security.

Where in the world would you find a place wherein one's safety and security is not the government's responsibility.

And as what media outlets (foreign & domestic) has always been telling us, one of the major factor that contributes to high casualty count is the standard of living. The greatly affected ones are those that lie within the poverty line (people that can only afford to settle on shanties/structures that are made of light materials). Is elevating every filipino family away from that poverty line the government's responsibility and accountability?

the government is giving you every opportunity para maangat imong kinabuhi bay, you are just oblivious to that fact because you chose to believe nga wala.. yet there is still poverty, perhaps if maningkamot ta maangat jud nato atong kaugalingon, yet there are people nga dili maningkamot nga kuwang sa pagpaningkamot, taw nga kuwang ug disiplina sa kaugalingon, that's why there is povety, that's why,. cguro kong maningkamot tang tanan maangat nato atong standard of living hence we can better prepare.. accountability is not absolutely vested in the hands of our government, you are also accountable for your own sake, i hope you understand that.. ug gnahan ka moangat imong standard of living ang gobyerno diay maningkamot para nimo? sila diay mamaligya ug kwek2 para nimo? diba kita man?.. you are just basing your opinion on a one-sided perspective..

truth hurts they say, but we can change that truth through change.
exactly, that's what ive been saying here all along.. if we want change we should start changing our paradigm so that when change comes ready ta nga mo maintain ana, kay kong di nato usbon atong mentality bisan unsa nga change ang moabot mobalik ra gihapon ta sa atong gipadulngan kong ing-ani ra gihapon ta..

I don't think any of the international new agencies actually said we are a "big stupid disorganized race". That's just you reading into the actual report: "there is no real evidence of organized relief operations". It's an observation in one particular day, and another one will replace it in the next day, and the day after that, etc. You're just worried other people will read into it like you did.

I don't know why you're worrying too much about stereotypes. Yes, there will always be stereotypes, not only about Filipinos. There are stereotypes about Koreans, Asians, the Arabs, even Americans, and none of these stereotypes will die as long as lazy idiots keep believing them. What you're suggesting is to silence the truth just to appease a bunch of people who are too lazy or bigoted to search for it. Eff them. Let them think what they want to think. Our country has bigger problems and if we want to solve them we need to be in the business of truth so that we will know where to start...
that's why, reports can greatly cause stereotypes, there tend to be some kind of disadvantage to that in cultural relations.. if we try and move in a same direction instead nga mag daut2 ta sa atong kaugalingon nga race we can make a better stereotype..
