How and why would Korina know more, when she's sitting pretty in her studio? And how did you come up with the impression that those in the field were only able to see one side of the story, when they were actually there at the scene of the disaster?

Defend? From what, the truth? CNN, BBC, NBC are calling it like they see it. There's no hidden agenda, no vested interest here. They're not "out to get us" and make us look bad. Sh|t, we're already doing a great job with that on our own.

The Americans have done so much for the victims of Yolanda, allow me to tick them off for you.

Restored airport to working order
Sent entire George Washington Strike Group, which has more than 20 choppers and equipment to desalinate water
Deployed USNS Mercy, a floating hospital with 1000 beds
Sent teams of doctors
Sent relief goods

And yet, you still have the audacity to whinge about something as petty as "discrimination"?

hey man, i have nothing against americans or other foreigners for this matter,. in fact we owe them big time esp the americans, not just now but also through our history.. although im against those people, notwithstanding their nationality, who try and degrade us like we are this big stupid disorganized race, you can always agree with what they are saying all you want but actually this will affect you also because other peoples throughout the world will have this stereotypical impression on us all that we are clumsy, stupid, disorganized, less educated, and some even call us monkeys, i dont know about you but that is just plain bad.. we are only adding insult to injury here if we keep on bashing our own race,. we are as you say we are because of this "kani gyung mga Pinoy" mentality.. you dont know it but its not only our government that you are putting a shame of, but also our country, our race, and yourself..

What is there to defend? We should just close our eyes, cover our ears, and day dream that our government is doing fine? That is what Ms. Amanpour reiterates... Philippines will have around 20-24 Typhoons a year... And yet, everytime we get visited by level 3 to Level 4 storms, so many lives are wasted...

and now YOLANDA.

IF you are to take into account the human toll on these typhoons, that's a very huge number.

CNN crew just did the right thing. Inform the public and the international community, that we as a whole f@cked big time this time around...

so kong daghang mamatay, we blame the government? dont you think your putting way too much accountability on the government? .. there will always be casualties in times of calamities, depende lang how prepared the people are, the government cant make bunkers for your safety, they cant make you houses made of steel, you make it yourself, the government is just there to support you.. dont let the media blind you or make you cover your ears..
