Ako grandparents bai both the mother and father side were both gobernadorcillo wala sweldo bai. Their only purpose by the time was to led the community to better understanding about the government by the time no salary received just a few cents called honorarium. They stop in public service by the time it was being abused and used the office as meal ticket and a throne of power. Kung wala molansar for not having a huge salary that is only an open clear proof nga they are not after the public service they were talking about during election campaign but they want business a good business from their country men's money who are starving while they are in their flashy life. depende man gud na sa capacity sa public office nga gidala...
you can't equate a barangay tanod with a senator with the same responsibility...
ang tanod, gabii ra trabaho nga pwede mag-day job...ang senador, dili limited sa ilang "meeting" sa senate...naa na baya na sila'y mga projects nga gi-"support"...mga NGO nga gi-"hulugan" ug budget...

What is the mean function of the lawmakers by the way? To make laws, di ba? Ang project bai kung sa insurance pa rider LNG sa mean function. We have government agencies which handles such functions.
