and transpo sa dagat. Kung naa lay mosulod nga foreign companies with new ferries and ships adto gyud ko mosakay.

Sakto ka TS sa Passenger Safety Cert compliance. pero ang problema kay dili kaayo stricto ang MARINA sa atoa. pwede ra mabayran inig abot sa surveyor. sobre ra maoy katapat...according sa rules sa classification kay usually every after 24 months basta passenger ship. unya pinaka-stricto og requirements basta under sa passenger vessel. obvious man ayo nga wala na ma-implement sa domestic ferries sa atoa.

I remember during our visit to Singapore, we got a chance to cross the Singapore Strait as our ferry crossed the Strait to Batam Island.
Perting daghana ang vessel traffic didto dagkong mga barko lainlain ilang mga directions, lain lain ug speed, naa pa daghan towing vessels. Ah basta perting daghana lagi dili nimo maihap.

Result: walay collision nga nahitabo.

Ah naa koy mga nadungan mga pinoy man to daghan gatawag "parekoy pasok"

Minaw nako if barko sa barko ang magtawganay perting daghana collisions.

    Hoy gobyerno nato, GISING!!!

    my 0.02 cents

As someone like me nga naka-trabaho sa shipbuilding both diha sa atoa og abroad, our local shipping industry is really in a worse state. and whats worse is that nobody in the government is taking notice in this..or basin nagpa-buta2x lang sila tanan.
as an archipelago, our shipping industry should be one of our main business. since, travelling by ship is always more cheaper compare to flying. sa uban countries, mosakay raman sila og aeroplano unless if nagdali gyud sila. but if you have time to spare, then why not sail where daghan pa ka og makita nga sights unya mka-relax paka. mao bitaw na concept sa mga cruise ship.

tsk..tsk..tsk...im working as a ship supervisor for a consulting firm and presently naa ko sa china.
grabe kabarato sa mga barko diri...what smart foreign companies are doing like present situation nako diri, is they are ordering ships here in china which the price is lower if compared to countries in japan and korea.
unya what they do is hire consulting companies like my company to supervise the construction of their vessels so that they can get a rather good quality out of the price that they sign and get when they made the order.

general man kaau inyong tan aw sa domestic shipping..
yes ang marina mo inspect sad but for everyone's info... sa akong nahibaw an.. ang 2go ang usa sa mga internationally accredited companies sa ph. i worked with them when it was still under ats.

and ang among accreditation/class is under dnv and germanischer lloyd.

we should support and should be proud of our local companies kay kun wa na sila, pobre pa tas somali pirates

Maora pud diay ug semi-foreign ning 2GO,
actually owned by the aboitiz group, pero naay chinese
investment. Ang ilang mga barko gikan man tingale nas
Negros navigation, same ships different company name.

2GO, formally 2GO Travel, is a ferry company which is based in Manila, Philippines and part of 2GO Group, a private company owned by the Chinese government through the China-Asean Investment Cooperation Fund.[1] It is the largest ferry company in the Philippines with its main hub located in Eva Macapagal Super Terminal in Pier 15 in the Manila South Harbor.[2]

Until 2012, 2GO was known as Negros Navigation. It changed its name following a significant realignment of ferry transportation in the Philippines which saw long-standing companies SuperFerry, Cebu Ferries and SuperCat first merged into SuperFerry, under the Aboitiz Transport System, and then purchased by Negros Navigation, in December 2010, for US$105 million.[2] At the same time, a unit of China-Asean Investment Cooperation Fund, a Netherlands-based, private equity firm wholly owned by the Chinese government, took a controlling stake in Negros Navigation through an equity infusion.[1][2] Because Negros Navigation was a privately held firm the exact amount invested by the Fund was not disclosed.[3]

2GO has one of the most modern shipping fleets in the Philippines and operates the largest fleet of inter-island vessels in the country.[4]

E shut off ang fuel supply... In emergency and dire situations, pwede ra e reverse ang direction sa engine, even from full ahead to full astern.
