ang regulator mao na nag regulate ug 12.5VDC para to charge the battery and mao sad mo disconnect and bypass para dili ma overchage ang battery.

try this steps
1. itaod balik battery ( ok ra ug na diskarga ang battery or low batt basta gamita lang ang kick start )
2. samtang nag andar na ang motor try to observe ang headlight ( e-on ang headlight ) then rev to high rpm observe f mu siga ba ug kusug imu headlight ( if musiga ug kusog ok imu regulator )
3. try to tighten the battery terminal both positive and negative ( and look if worn naba imu tension wire)
note: three things to consider ( if the battery if fully functional )
1. alternator
2. regulator
3. loose battery terminal or worn tension wire
note: things to consider : (if the battery is defective)
1. cold start or hard to start
2. low beam of headlight
3. no charging of battery
how to know if battery is defective
1. white spot or corrosion sa terminal dapit or sa plug butanganan ug solution
2. no charging at all or low DC output ( try to measure it using DDM)
Thank God...walay guba alternator/regulator!! yes!! nangaputol ra ang wire sa sulod gi rewiring ra jud...kalikaw gyud taw ug dako2 nga gasto..hehehe
