bottomline on all these "anti-rabies shot hassles (for some)" is to stop the spread of the virus and finally eliminate it. in some countries, this is totally nil already.
Mga Bro, need help... although I read much of the thread pero gusto lang naku klarohon para sure unta kay "wa gyud ko kasabot" sa ge-explain sa ako sa Agent sa PAL when I inquired... It seems like, di pud siya sure sa iyang gipang-explain sa ako...
I need to fly to manila to pick up a 5 month old puppy (shih tzu princess) - MANILA TO CEBU. Truly, igo ra gyud ko moadto para magkuha sa puppy kay nalooy ko walay daw atiman... I'll be flying either PAL or Cebu-Pac... My questions are:
- VET Card - OK; Cage - OK what else?
- Quarantine or something, I was told na paadtoon pa ko sa BAI (somewhere near UP Diliman) to get a Permit? Wala ni siya sa Airport lang? Di raba gyud intawn ko sweto ug manila, basin mawala ko along with my Pet... nah wa rabay DYHP didto!![]()
If someone can give me a Step-by-step process for this I would really appreciate... and THANK YOU!
Salamat kaayo...
sa airport old domestic naa BAI counter didto. i suggest you send your dog via cebupac coz the bai counter is just near the cargo section of cebupac. approach any of airport police or ask any cebupac cargo personnel, they will direct you to the location where the bai personnel hold office. take it from there, step by step. just ask from cebupac cargo, you wont be lost.

We transferred our 1 year old Rottweiler from Laguna to Cebu when we decided to relocate. Laguna to Manila, we rented a family van. Naka leash lang sya during the travel. When we arrive at the pier in Manila, we assembled the cage and that was the only time we put him in cage for handling by ship personnel until we boarded the ship. Sa barko, nahangyo nako ang crew and I was able to transfer him sa cargo/truck compartment where there is a large space and less people around. There I was able to feed him, walk him and play with him without the restriction of the cage. The impact of the rough seas for 18 hours was still a torture sa iyaha. Bisag g maintain ko sya tambal for motion sickness, suka gyapon. There was even a time during the voyage nga irritated na sya. All he want was to lie down and sleep.
Before disembarkation at Cebu, we put him back sa cage. We then rented a multicab where he enjoyed the ride on leash.
In summary, for large breeds, here is the list of things to prepare.
Cage - spacious enough for the dog to comfortably settle down and sleep
Collar / Chest Strap - I prefer the chest strap. Mas manageable compared to collar
Leash / Chain - with enough length so you can tie or anchor it somewhere
Carabiner - convenient in securing the leash
Medicine & Food
