Sometimes I eavesdrop on people just to get the idea of what people are talking these days, and the vast majority of it is a conversation about their lack of money. It's always the lack of money.

Is there hope for the hopeless?
there is hope if they only learn to be open minded and start thinking intillegently...

It depends on how you define the word "safe". In the US, drugs and sexual promiscuity among the young are equally rampant. What is worse there is the phenomenon of drive by shootings and other random killings..

The formula i am with me now since i graduated... Work abroad - earning and save me (US dollar, Yen, dinar etc... ), go home and spend in peso. Migration is just for security reasons.

A few years year ago my family were granted a working visa in Maryland, USA. But after thinking long and hard wala ko mo-adtu. I am sure kon ang uban pa dri matagaan og visa sa US embassy mo lupad dayon mo in a heartbeat. Para nako it's the same rat race whether we're here in our country or outside. Mas mayo pa tabang tag palambu sa Pinas kaysa tabang tas uban nasud.

Drugs and *** aren't more rampant in the U.S. than they are here. This is a racist stereotype that has no bearing on reality. I've lived there for 5 years so I know what I'm talking about. Also, you make it sound like drive by shootings is an out of control problem when in truth it is isolated to very few suburbs in L.A. and Washington D.C. In many parts of the U.S., including large cities, the crime rate is in fact lower than in MM or even Cebu.

But this is beside the point. Even if there was more crime in the U.S., people would still be willing to put up with it as long as they are more financially secure.
