firstly, I want to reassure you that nothing is innately wrong with being gay just as nothing is wrong with being a woman or man. Only that my point is marriage is a sacrament to bind husband and wife in the name of God. If you want to make any oath of friendship to another gay friend, call it another name but not marriage. then, It does not mean that using other religion could be an excuse: it is still the same fact, marriage is still sanctified.

Pls. do not miss the point.. I do not mean that gays are abomination. thats the complete opposite of what im trying to say: Gays are loved by God and gifted by God with so much talents that could share to the world. Along with this Gifts, is a challenge for all the gays to be one with Christ Jesus to the vow of chastity. Like John, i firmly believe that gays are God's beloved.

Dear Dust, the Catholic Church simply wants gay to be save from act against God not from their very being..

The Church has no right to impede upon the freedom of others as they did in the past. Or have we forgotten Copernicus and Galileo or the Witch Hunt of the middle ages so easily?
There is a reason why we have a separation of church and state, so that the Church may not impose its views of how people belonging to a minority should conduct themselves even in the privacy of their own home.

This can all be remedied if we just realize that marriage does not equate to a "Church Wedding"

Marriage is a "CIVIL UNION" and not exclusively held at churches. We are arguing semantics when Merriam Webster and Wikipedia both agree that it is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that creates kinship(Wikipedia) or the state of being united to a person of the opposite *** as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law

Notice anything? No mention of the word church or Christianity or what not, just legal contracts

That's why i said gays have the right to ask government to change some laws but Not the church Laws.

Iran is actually a good example of a nation that's made religious law mandatory to all (theocracy)- in their case, Islam. These countries are stark reminders of the importance of separation of church and state.
