I AM NOT AGAINST GAYS, BUT IM TOTALLY AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE.

Not because they dont deserve to honor their love but only because marriage is sacred sacrament of the church. Maybe they can call any other thing for their love ritual, but pls. not marriage... wala man sila nka-insulto ug mga tao, pero ilang gipakaminus ang God the Creator.

I hope Gays will understand that the church is not against them and just trying to save their soul..

Funny how your statements contradict each other. Marriage is first and foremost a legal and Civil act. A bond between 2 individuals regardless of Religion or beliefs and it is sanctioned by the "STATE". Given your definition of marriage, does that mean that Atheists cannot marry? kay dli man sila mutoo in the first place ug Ginoo.

LET me make this clear, we are not saying we need to get married in church. We can get married anywhere else. We are also not forcing Priests to marry us, we can have a Judge do that.

Having said that, tell me again how getting a marriage license acknowledged by the state tramples upon the church's beliefs? Di ba dili man sad gani approved sa church ang kanang gi kasal sa huwis lang? But ang kasal sa huwis is still legally binding.. that is all we are after. a Legally binding marriage

Would it make you feel better if we got married in another religion then? That way we won't Tarnish the Sanctity of Marriage bestowed upon couples by the Roman Catholic church /sarcasm

If I was one of your gay friends I'll call you out for BS.
There is nothing to save because nothing is innately wrong with being gay. By saying that your friends need to be saved, you are implying that their very nature is an abomination

^^ why do you want people to accept what you want bai? Again, like what we have discussed last time, people can't accept what you want (at least for now). Why do you push when you already have the liberty in doing what you want. This is not the 1900's bai. Gays/lesbians are already accepted in our society bai, why push something beyond it? Why doest it still matter on how & what people think of you when kabalo man ta nga you cant please everybody. We already established that the general public doesn't want to tackle this issue or thinks it is also BS to push this when the fact nga mismo ang pinaka basic nga balaod dili masulbad.asa na ang rh bill? Ang divorce? Push for that first before you can have a chance to convince people about your cause. All those things that you are posting here are actually meaningless & worthless because kabalo ta nga walay kapaingnan ni. Solve the basic bigger problem before you tackle this very small issue.

I'd like to think of it as intellectual discourse. We may agree or disagree throughout our discussions but at the core of every post is a free exchange of ideas. Sure, right now they most probably relegate my points of view as ludicrous but somewhere down the line, life throws a curve ball and then finally it would all make sense to them. Then they could look back and say.. ohhh now I get it..

And to quote Secretary of state (US) Hillary Clinton

"But progress comes from changes in laws. In many places, including my own country, legal protections have preceded, not followed, broader recognition of rights. Laws have a teaching effect. Laws that discriminate validate other kinds of discrimination. Laws that require equal protections reinforce the moral imperative of equality. And practically speaking, it is often the case that laws must change before fears about change dissipate."

Equal rights? You have equal rights..... you seem to forget that Religious Organizations are also considered private organizations and as such they enjoy a protection of their liberties.... You marry whoever you want to marry, just don't force others to recognize it. Give me examples of laws that discriminate.
