Again and again and again, we are just arguing about the word "Marriage" See the posts above for its definition. No mention of the word Church, Religion, nor God for a marriage to become legal and binding before the eyes of the Law
The Church has no right to impede upon the freedom of others as they did in the past. Or have we forgotten Copernicus and Galileo or the Witch Hunt of the middle ages so easily?
There is a reason why we have a separation of church and state, so that the Church may not impose its views of how people belonging to a minority should conduct themselves even in the privacy of their own home.
And vow of chastity?

Unsay diay main purpose sa mga Gay/Lesbian nga gusto man nila i legalize ang Same S*E*X marriage? Benefits? Acceptance?
Putlan man ka ug ulo didto, especially if found guilty of heresy/blasphemy by their religious police. We're obviously faring better than Islamic countries that's for sure. And we have democracy to thank for that.
Iran is actually a good example of a nation that's made religious law mandatory to all (theocracy)- in their case, Islam. These countries are stark reminders of the importance of separation of church and state.
