Since when did we Filipinos started blurting out this words "pinoy pride"as far as I can recall wala mani sauna mga 20 years ago when weren't called "THE SICK MAN OF ASIA" yet. Our grandparents show their pride and patriotism through actions unlike in these times nga ato lang gipakita atong pride as empty words only.

Gilumos lang ta sa notion nga dapat proud ta as pinoys though in reality we are so f*cked up as a nation.
That's what we get for electing bad leaders!

You have a point. In germany daghan mga Spanish na nag take ug german classes and they're kinda like pinoys with the way the are in general except they're speaking spanish. Akong mga cousins mao sad ma say actually. I'm not surprised sad. The way they are in classes, kung mag chill daghan daw kaayo similarities sa pinoys. Although that is with the exception of genuine pride cos i think ang mga spanish folks kay they're proud of their heritage and identity in general. I say genuine kay lahi ra ang proud na pinoy if u get my drift.

Add. My friends and i were talking months ago about this ba for fun about the situation of the philippines. Naa to siya gi say na article about a foreigner who wrote something about the philippines ( i know daghan but just check the point) from the perspective of someone who sees it in the outside. The thing is, CORRUPTION ang dominant dire sa country and it's not in the area of politics lang daw. Corruption is embedded in our culture, from the day we are born to the moment we gain consciousness, we face corruption, we see it and we are taught with and about it in small ways...and the difficult thing is, it is hard to change a trait if it is "cultural" kay culture plays a huge part in the society. Abusive sa power ug money and grabi sad ta mu cheat. In getting a cab, mag una sa route sa ayala kay di ka wait sa line, if mu go sa doctor, mu pay ra assistant ug 200 from number 25 ma number 3 na sa waiting list.
I forgot the other points na but theoretically, he's got a point.
