Do you think He would do that to pacquiao "put himself in the ropes to bait the opponent"? Pac will eat him alive in the ropes, He is a beast in the ropes. Probably He would be going to the center (as what JMM did), or use the whole ring.

No question about the abilities of floyd..But to pair with Pac I would go for the latter..

Left straight ra lagi ang weakness anang Philly Shell Defense. I remember Floyd Sr. a couple of years ago saying "I will never let my son fight a southpaw".

Mao na nga galikay gyud sila ni Pacquiao.

Let Mayweather fight for money, Let Pacman Fight for country, let the ring gods choose which one to glorify!

The primary advantage of the Philly Shell Defense is that the lead shoulder roll serves as the primary defender. But against a southpaw, the lead shoulder can no longer protect the chin.

Bisan pa ug muhupo-hupo, mu-lean back ang ulo, or coveran sa gloves, maabtan gihapon sa wala.

But still, Mayweather has superb athletic skills. He can overcome these weaknesses through speed and intelligence. Against Judah, DLH, and Cotto. DLH and Cotto both being left-dominant fighters - meaning southpaws but fighting in an orthodox stance.

Pac's similar athletic gifts would prove to be a deadly challenge for Mayweather.

wala juy killer instinct then mag pa corner ciya? Even si clottey nga cge rag cover malutsan paman gani

QUOTE=æRLO;12602438]Pac's right is useless? maybe a decade ago. Hatton got rocked by his right (KD in one instance), Cotto was punished by his right (one KD caused by right). If you are going to use that JMM argument then let's make the argument that Pacquiao destroyed Cotto, and Mayweather did not. Again, Marquez did not win that fight. Several times he's a b**** about losing and throws a fit, making everything a controversy. There is a major difference between Money and his style of counterpunching, that is Mayweather pushes the fight often. Marquez is a PURE counterpuncher. Several of Pac's opponents have attested, when fighting Pacquiao, there is always the issue of phantom punches, where they get hit and they didn't see it coming. I don't know how Pacquiao'speed is in question here... It is widely accepted that he has one the fastest hands in the sport. Whether those hands will nullify Mayweather's defense, we don't know.[/QUOTE]

Right because Cotto and Hatton are known for their excellent defense. They both know how to use the four corners of the ring to avoid getting hit. Pac spars against partners who mimic his opponents. And his opponents have been so far... stationary. Like manequins whose only moving parts are the arms. So naturally his sparring partners have been like I mentioned, stationary.

Pac's right is useless as a jabber and useful only against slow opponents. Against Mayweather it's like a 3 foot midget wearing 2 inch shoes trying to guard Shaq.

Fans and media who think Pacquiao has some kind of edge over Mayweather nowbecause he defeated Cotto in one-sided fashion in 2009 need to get a clue and study the concept of “styles make fights.” They also need to take into consideration that Cotto basically trained himself for the Pacquiao fight. (You are absolutely right that Cotto has improved his technique – especially his defense – thanks to two camps with Emanuel Steward and two with Pedro Diaz.) Fans and media who think Mayweather will eat Pacquiao for lunch because Floyd dominated Juan Manuel Marquez and the Filipino hero has always struggled with the Mexican master also need to get a clue and study up on how different styles play out in the ring.
When did you start watching boxing? During the Tyson era with renewed interest coming only after Pac's rise? I bet your top five greatest of all time must be 1. Pacquiao 2. Mike Tyson 3. Nonito Donaire 4. Evander 5. Roy Jones jr.

Let's not turn this into a copy paste battle because I it would make your idolatry to "Doug Fischer" look bad. Doug Fischer LOL... Nobody likes getting hit but Pacquiao is not like a Hagler when he gets hit. Pac gets shut down like a Japanese nuke plant during a tsunami. Shut down...

LOL !! Okay.. so you're better than Doug Fisher? great.. point taken!

And your expertise led you to assume who my top 5 fighters are, like I bother to rank them. lol.. just mature.. and let me guess, Floyd is already in your ATG list, yes?

Try to stick to the topic and don't start personal attacks co'z it looks like I'm getting under your skin even without the intention of doing so..

Convince your boy Floyd to seek a "challenge" after he serves his time, otherwise retire. If he has the balls to fight a much smaller, technically flawed, one dimensional, no jab fighter like Pacquiao, and beat him the way you envisioned, I'll bow down to you. Good luck!
