The star and the moon is an insignia of the Ottoman empire..not of Muslim origin. This emblem was used just for that dynasty only...it was more of a identification for them.

The mosque I go to has no Catholic cathedral next to it.

Now bringing us to the Moon God thing, Astaghfirullah! (Allah forgive me!) but I can't stress just how ridiculous the theory is. In Al Quran, God says we must not worship the sun nor the moon. The truth of Islam has been distroted but I still ask Allah to forgive that man.

The answers and proof is in the Quran, never changed since its revelation more than 1400 years ago and Inshallah ppl will see and stop fabricating so called "evidence".
And Given the Paganistic nature of these symbols why are they still using it?
Why would you adopt a sun and moon symbol? when it was from ottoman empire "only"
Clearly what you have been told was an outsider information.
We are not against people or muslims you we are against principalities and power.

    Morals and Dogma
What does Morals and Dogma have to say about this symbol?
ANSWER: “The Arabian word AL-DE-BARÁN, means the foremost, or leading, star: and it could only have been so named, when it did precede, or lead, all others. The year then opened with the sun in Taurus; and the multitude of ancient sculptures, both in Assyria and Egypt, wherein the bull appears with lunette or crescent horns, and the disk of the sun between them, are direct allusions to the important festival of the first new moon of the year: and there was everywhere an annual celebration of the festival of the first new moon, when the year opened with Sol and Luna in Taurus.”
    …Taurus,
The crescent and disk combined always represent the conjunctive Sun and Moon. (Morals and Dogma)

In Islam, there is another important symbol, the all-seeing eye, what does that mean?

    Spoiler!

The All-Seeing Eye is, “An important symbol of the Supreme Being, borrowed by the Freemasons from the nations of antiquity. On the same principle, the Egyptians represented Osiris, their chief deity, by the symbol of an open eye, and placed the hieroglyphic of him in all their temples.” (E of F, pp. 52, 53.

If you guys want statements with references from the Bible, the Qur'an and other religious holy scriptures, you should listen to Zakir Naik. It seems he had studied all these and also related them to modern science which is very impressive.

The all seeing eye is not an Islamic symbol as there are no official symbols in Islam. However, Shaitan (Satan) is described as being "one-eyed".
