Prophet Abraham (pbuh) called the people to not associate Allah (swt) with any partners to Him.

The star and the moon is an insignia of the Ottoman empire..not of Muslim origin. This emblem was used just for that dynasty only...it was more of a identification for them.

The mosque I go to has no Catholic cathedral next to it.

Now bringing us to the Moon God thing, Astaghfirullah! (Allah forgive me!) but I can't stress just how ridiculous the theory is. In Al Quran, God says we must not worship the sun nor the moon. The truth of Islam has been distroted but I still ask Allah to forgive that man.

And Given the Paganistic nature of these symbols why are they still using it?
Why would you adopt a sun and moon symbol? when it was from ottoman empire "only"
