Let me share my knowledge too.
I used to work in this field of forwarding,international shipping & logistics. My advantage I guess, is, I have enuf considerable actual training with the biggest & most prestigious Courier companies in the world.
I had undergone in-house training at their different stations with FedEx, DHL and ARAMEX plus my early career in the Shipping industry.
Basically, I dealt with outbound & inbound shipments all over the Middle east area either bound to Phils.or inter-gulf region.
In this case, maglisud jud claim ang TS kay (though i haven't seen the copy of his proforma or packing list)
ang pagbutang nya sa mga precious items along with the other commodities is definitely intolerable.
We don't allow such doings.
With my sea cargoes , or thru couriers mas samot ka estrikto.
And I hope this will serve as a warning to all prospective istoryan shippers.

Why?
Most of my sea cargo shippers tend to include this electronic item like T.V.Desktop/gadget/mobile with their cargo, I refuse to accept those goods.
Why again...I'd explained to them literally...di bha ang container esakay sa barko daghan pa kaayo mahitabo anha barko while sailing, motakilid, makasugat ug heavy storm, unya2 hoot gud tawn kaayo nha sa sud sa cont.unlike sa air cargo/plane kay medyo hamugaway.Ang tendency mga hiwi or mga ipit ang kargo , mao uban cargo labi nha if di maayo ang packing mobigay jud tawn.
In short way assurance nga macontrol nimo ang mga "acts of GOd incidents".

I agree some of your information, but on this "looting case" it's totally different. We shippers can accept the fact that there are some items might be damage during the shipment but for the item lost, they/ you should not make any excuses that it's prohibited to put in there.It is you or the forwarding company's big responsibility to keep the seal of the box intact just to make sure everything is in there as expected by the shipper.

Kakapadala ko rin lang ng sea cargo sa Mindanao noong March 10,2011. Maliban sa almost three months ko na pag antay,hindi pa deniliver doon sa naka address.Ginawa ng agent pinapick up pa sa amin don sa kabilang bayan kasi hanggang doon lng daw instruction ng boss nila.Samantalang bago ko pinadala yon, sabi ng taga Skyfreight(KSA) walang problema yong lugar namin.Tsaka nakailang beses na ako ngpapadala sa ibang forwarder, wala namang problema at nakakarating talaga sa bahay. Kaya yon na ang FIRST and LAST time ko na pagpapadala sa Skyfreight Forwarder dahil walang silbi management nila sa tao don sa Pinas at may konti rin dito sa KSA mismo. Sa haba ng panahong pagseserbisyo nila sa mga OFW, hindi pa rin nila nakayang ituwid ang mga ganitong simpleng pangyayari.Ito ay tama lang na pruweba na kulang sila ng pagdidiseplina ng kanilang mga tauhan at hinahayaang tuluyang masira ang tiwala ng mga OFW.

maybe they overpromise there service.. anyway ano ba sinabi nila pg pdala mo nyan?
if this is a balikbayan box
Origin it will be console and once container is full or almost full as per target schedule it will be ship
----------point of delay if they cannot fill the container and they will not ship it
and wait for the container to be filled but case to case basis.. some will send container
even its not full due to target schedule.. what you can do is
ask them for estimated transit time, its eihter it will pass Singapore, Kaoshuing or Hongkong
port before reaching Philippines

destination upon arrival of container in Philippines, it will be costums cleared and will take some days
before it will be released.. minsan it will take so much time if it is not properly
coordinated sa customs... ------------point of delay
after releasing it will unloaded from the container and
arrange per area for scheduling of delivery
it will be unlikely to delivery 1 box in the area considering the distance/time travel.
so cost should be cover------------another point of delay

you are paying the transport of this items. therefore you should be aware of its availability at final
destination

I'd fully understand what you mean. But the main prob is, why they did not deliver it to its final destination? Why I need to spend additional expenses in which that package has been paid off already? Kaya nakakawalang gana tong Forwarder na to. Nakailang gastos pa ako ng tawag sa kanila overseas.

Kabayan magingat kayo sa Sky Freight International sa Buena park California. Nagpadala ako ng box may mga pyesa sa loob mukhang pinag interesan ng mayari ng cargo na si kabayan JOSHUA DE GUZMAN. Nakakapag taka 8 months na hindi pa dineliver?? Umaasa parin ako pero sobra na ito tagal at kausap ko mayari minsan galit pa sya sa akin kse makulit daw ako ouch!! aba eh.. 4 months nalaang pasko na natural lang magtatanong ako. Minsan tumawag ule ako sbi ni mayari isusumbong daw nya sa customs kse pyesa daw ng motor yun laman ng box ko. Wow! Ganun? At ipadidemanda pa daw nya ako pag nangulet pa uli ako. Tigas mo men! Ako na nga nawalan ako pa yung napagalitan? Ganun ba kayo mag treat sa nga cliente ninyo? Konting respeto naman at responsable sa inyong tungkulin sapagkat kami ay umaasa sa inyong pamahalaan sa mga padala namin galing sa pawis at dugo. Pero mga kabayan.. INGAT LANG sa ganun klaseng kumpanya at tao.

Beware sa sky freight [Jeddah]... package ng papa ko pinadala pa noong first week ng october, hanggang ngayong wala pa... tawag kami ng tawag sa Mactan Cebu Branch, sabi nila antay lang daw at darating din' yun'... eh kailan kami mag i-intay hanggang pagka tapos ng 2011, eh malapit na ang pasko, wala pa rin ang package na papa ko... mukhang ginagago ya'ta kami ng SKY FREIGHT.... sabi ng main office sa Jeddah, one month lang daw at dadating na ang box namin... anak naman ng tupa oh! para yatang gusto nilang makaharap si Mike Enriquez ng IMBESTEGADOR!!!! sana di na tayo umabot pa sa ganyan, para hindi masira ang pangalan ng companya nila! Mga staff ng Sky Freight, Umayos-ayos naman kayo, ayosin ninyo ang sirbesyo ninyo, dahil dugo at pawis ang binubuwis ng papa ko doon sa Saudi Arabia... mga Putang Ina Ninyo!

To all residents of Los Angeles magingat kayo at HUWAG kayo magpadala ng balikbayan box niuyo sa SKYFREIGHT INTERNATIONAL nakakatakot ka deal ang mayari kapag may matipuhan na gamit na pagkakitaan nya bigla nalang mawawala ang gamit nyo at kung hindi lahat ay madalas ang mga kahon ninyo ay bukas na pagdating sa inyo. Madami dyan iba na pagkakatiwalaan na balikbayan consolidator hwag lang ito dahil ako mismo ay biktima ng kawatan na kumpanya na ito. FYI lamang!
