Two days ago my one month old phone, an SE W660i, was being returned to Audionet Ayala due to some defect in the navi-key's LEDs. The defect was that the lights would go on and off erratically and what appears to be sparks from the damaged LEDs. After a much debated issue the store agreed to a unit replacement.
Yesterday the replacement was made. After making the claim they told me wait a while. Naglakaw ra ko sa Ayala the whole evening (starting around 7pm) and they made me come back just before the mall closed (imagine that!) Guess what this store did? They switched all the accessories of the old unit and put it in with the package of the replacement. They don't include the accessories with replacements daw. Weird ug reasoning noh? What the hell are they going to do with the new accessories now?
When I got home I closely inspected the phone. Earlier I made a small nick somewhere on the phone to signify that it is mine and therefore the old phone. Guess what? That nick was still there! hmm... the IMEI was different and diagnostics showed the internals were new.
I had a technician friend at SM take a closer look at the phone. According to him it appears as though the casing for the old phone was removed and transferred to the new unit! What the....?!!!!! Puno pa gyud scratches ang daan nako nga casing! Reasoning daw na sa SE or the store na they will NEVER replace cosmetics! So what the hell are they going to do with a brand new casing? They definitely can't use it on another phone coz di man kaha sila moilis ug cosmetics?!
