Ang priority sa gobyerno kai mag gukod sa past admin, aside from that, im not very sure unsa pa. Sayang unta kai i beleive we have the labor force (massive) to compete, pero there isnt enough support.

    unemployed Americans/Europeans = no income
no income = dili maka palit2x sa mga goods/equipment
dili maka palit2x sa mga goods/equipment = less demand = affected ang manufacturing sector sa lain nasud

RnD does not have to start in the government. It's true RnD is expensive, not everybody or hell you need groups for it to have a kickstart.

Ang Pilipinas hilig kaayo ug instant. Instant noodles, instant coffee bisag instant panglawas. The rest of the world is already trying to improvise anything instant. Kita, consume pirmi ug instant nya walay panghuna-huna on how to make something instant more innovative.

Like for example, people here want a website. Ang mga developer sad diri sa country, mag-gamit na ug mga pre-made frameworks or CMSs then palit lag instant skin. Instant money na. No thought on innovation, no thought on making your way.

I don't deny I have the same mindset. But I am proud to be somebody who pushes innovation and I am aspiring to work soon in RnD. I download open source projects and modify them on my own. Di magsalig ug premade.
i disagree. it doesn't have to be initiated by the government. i don't think anyone insinuated that RnD should BE started by the government. don't go wayward on this one. what they are trying to say is government SUPPORT. there has to be government support. and for that matter a government funded comprehensive RnD should be done as well so as to promote RnD's in the country. but needless to say our government is cash-strapped so thats another story. government support should be done like tax(GAT, VAT,e-VAT. heck even withholding Tax) incentives for companies putting up RnD's here in our country. much like what the government has SUPPORT for the BPO like providing tax breaks if you put up business on a NEDA Declared Eco-Zones.
