Naa pa nay research and development, quality assurance, marketing, after sales support and etc..

For the retailers, dagahan sad na ug overhead costs na problemahon (not to mention ang red tape diri sa pinas).

And finally way negosyante na magnegosyo na palugi. Hehe.

LOL naabot man ka sa welga bro. How is it related sa "over-profiteering"?

kanang link nimo, you want us to watch the "Camilla Kim’s Business Secrets"? Pila iya profit? How will we know nga iyang profit is very high or very small?
actually i have said before sa link na i-click for the purpose of learning. kai ang argument nako was over-profit, related dyapon sa topic kai at least ni share ko sa link para sa mga gusto mag negosyo na dapat honest ta pirmi sa tanan buhaton.

^^ of course we are honest. When we sell something we tell the truth what our price will be. Unless siguro ang uban namaligya ug guba nga gadget then mo ingon nga dili guba but that is outside the issue. First, when can we say nga over-profit na ka? Is 5% overprofit na? Next is if you tell the buyer that is your price, then where is dishonesty? Wala man pud gali siya namugos nga palitan. I watched the video and ang gi point out nga honesty dira is about sa kadtong pagbayad sa taxes nga dapat magbayad jud ka.

You can't really blame people for wanting to make money or earn a living this way because the whole concept of getting into business is for profit. When there is an opportunity to make more, then one is inclined to grab it.

Take for example Globe Telecom who are the exclusive sellers of the unit that always come with contracts. ever wonder why they sell the unit at 40k nga kung kwentahon nimo mugawas nga 35k lang dapat? it's because they have to factor in the cost of transporting the unit from it's origin to the Phils. It's only logical to take into account all costs incurred in acquiring the item and then adjust the price to what they think is a viable price for the buying public never losing sight of the profit margin, HOWEVER THIN IT MAY BE.

pero para nako, the pleasure of business comes when you make others happy and satisfied first before thinking about yourself.

now i know why most businessman are selfish. me first before others policy. bantug ra daghang mangwelga na mga employees ug customer. hahahahaha
I cannot speak for all businessmen, but back when I was in business, dili lalim magpadagan ug negosyo, labaw na kung gamay ra ang kita. let me put it in plain black and white:

    EMPLOYEES ONLY THINK ABOUT:

    >Salary
    >savings(maybe kung tig save)
    >how to spread/spend the salary to cover one's own expenses or that of the family

    EMPLOYERS HAVE TO CONSIDER:

    >overhead costs
    >ways to save costs from non-income generating business units i.e. Accounting
    >haggle purchase prices with suppliers
    >give credit terms to buyers
    >maintain solvency or liquidity
    >balancing out Revenues against Expenses to make sure nga dili mu labaw ang expenses kaysa revenues
    >think of other ways to help the company save money for future expansion or in cases of dire need
    >THINK HOW to expand the business wherever there are opportunities
    >COMPLY with government regulations
    >SATISFY the needs of the customers to the extent possible BUT within the company's means
    >arbitrate internal struggles among employees(usually the work of HR but sometimes sila tig buhat kung grabe na)
    >spot anomalies within company, usually theft(especially when it comes to cash)
    >and daghan pa.

The employee sees only one tree out of the forest that is the big picture.

The emploYER MUST SEE the entire forest to make sure the big picture(which is viability and profitability of Company) is still possible/doable. Otherwise, if the amount of effort to earn PHP5000 thru a business venture is the same amount of effort in working for a call center, then might as well close shop and work in a call center. it's not logically sound to be going through all that stress and still earn the same amount of money.

    'nough said.

kabalo ka bai, stating the obvious is a sign of low level thinking.... remember, there is a cure for ignorance but not for stupidity... rather than pushing people off your shoulder, you should just be grateful some people are trying to educate you.... you may not agree with us, but we are right...

OnT: I think "over-profiteering" is subjective. Sa mga dili ka afford, they can always complain nga grabe kaayo ang price. For those nga daghan kwarta or nagkinahanglan jud ana na gadget, then they can buy it.
