The whole multiple wives thing - it is favoured to have just one wife but it is true that they can marry up to four on the condition that he deals justly with all of them. Having more than one is NOT for the satisfaction the man's desires and the wife can object the idea and has the right to divorce.

The reason is that if the man's wife cannot bear him a child (maybe due to some health complications) and he cannot stand the idea of adopting someone else's child then he can marry another who can make him a father. Being a father and husband is one of the most important things in Islam.

And to clear another misconception up about women in Islam - Women are highly respected, in fact, 3 times more the respect is given to the women because we are the ones who bear the children.

para lang nako, i was raise as a roman catholic, then i will die as roman catholic, di nako magbalhin balhin pa, kay all religions are the same, no matter whats it is called, same god pa rin, if you have faith in god, so no need to seek for a religion to follow, just follow the word of god, and you will be safe... i am 45 years old now, and for so many years, wana ko ka simba, but i pray to god jesus christ, i have him in my heart.
