Oh gezzz.. You're reading lots of medieval books again..
We are already in the 21st century for cryin out loud's sake.

You seem to have made yourself the referee. Are you the official debate moderator? Is there an official debate going on? It didn't occur to me that there's going to be a referee and, all of a sudden, a casual exchange of comments would be assessed an infraction.
Actually bro my understanding of this thread is to make a connection between the two paradigms.

Sadly for some "believers" here, they have the compulsive need to stomp their foot to remind you that they are in POWER. A relic behavior of their religion's heydays. Unfortunately, for some, they have to take it one step further than their religious leaders. Kung baga mas daghan pa sila alam kay sa ilan pari.

Of all the posts in this thread you chose to quote my reply over the one that was the source of it? Iquote to ang nag bring up sa issue bai dili ako.

You must really be under the impression bai noh na kaya ko nimo? Mao siguro ang ako gyud imo gipili.

Ah, now I understand. It's funny how some people see two sides of the debate and think they can be above both by being the referee. It's a common behavior I noticed...they seem to derive some ego-trip from it.

That's because it's the only quote I read that is not appropriate.
I'm just backing up one of the posters here who said that the Catholic Church accepts science.

inappropriate "to you" bai. inappropriate "TO YOU".

And since the poster was so broad in his statement I was under the impression that it was until the beginning of time na tolerant ang simbahan sa science, which, of course, is NOT true.

If it only was a relic behavior, then we'd have nothing to worry about. In fact, I wouldn't have any problems seeing people going about their religious practices in private. It's when religious authorities throw their weight around in the public sphere with their medieval doctrines against, say, contraception/birth control...that's when one's sense of reason cannot simply ignore.

We cannot go back to the dark days of religious totalitarianism. That fight has to continue if mankind is to rise above the full height that's demanded of them by their reason.

Okay ni siya si redhorse1L. In my previous, albeit brief, exchange with him, I find him to be of sound reason, intelligent, and tolerant. He's one of the theists here in Istorya that I respect.

I hear you bai. But more and more Filipinos are waking up already and contradictory to some here that their number of followers are "increasing".

Generally we have nothing to fear but their annoyance. I doubt if the Pope would scream for a call to arms probably less than 50% of their followers would follow to the death.

Suma bitaw ang katoliko pakit-on lang ug kutsilyo sa muslim mangluspad or maka-ihi man lagi? nya tawgon raba dayon ta ug BAYOT kai wala ta nilaban sa simbahan. puhlease!
