I would say her actions were a mix of anger and frustration. She certainly could have handled the situation better, but seeing na naa nay nanga angol, that probably was too much for her and she snapped. In her mind, it was totally unnecessary for someone to get hurt (at least that's how I read the article and by watching the 2 videos).

Another thought that came to mind was that she might have been playing to the crowd. Notice how the crowd cheered while the sheriff gets smacked in the face?

But if she had a gun at that incident, I don't think she would have shot the guy, let alone pulled out her weapon.
Kong ordinaryong tawo managpa manukmag, dali ra kaayo madakop pero kay Mayor man investigation dayun. Kong POLICE pani nanukmag dali rani ma suspenso, Karon kay MAYOR man nga gusto ug short cut nga systema instead of going to the judge to ask for 2hours delayed sa demolition gideritso sa COURT Sheriff kay kabalo ni ang MAYOR nga relatives niya ang JUDGE nga ang hatag sa ORDER. Justice should be served to every Filipino people. Malicious Mischief, Conduct of unbecoming Public Official, Obstruction of Justice and etc.

E set gyud nig example siya kay this is a very bad precedent. Ombudsman, DOJ, DILG this is your case. Every Public Officials should be accountable of her/his own actions.

hehehehehe. i was already expecting your response to be like that proof that people nowadays are so easy to predict.

wala sila na hangol sa position kay if you were able to follow their history, ni let go ang mga duterte sa ila position before and had someone not from their family run the government pero what happened is gipangita sila sa mga taw tungod walay lain maka serve sa ilaha nga mas labaw pa sa mga duterte

someone from the senate asked duterte(father) to be a senator tungod kay daghan from the upper house ni bilib sa iyaha way of implementing the rules, and do you know what his answer was? dili siya ganahan, he knows nothing about making laws or rules, he only knows how to follow and implement them ana ragud, ug hangol pa sa position mga duterte hagbay unta na niya gi biyaan ang davao pero until now the dutertes are serving the people and the people are thankful for their service... ang mga taga davao ra ang pde maka appreciate sa style sa mga duterte kay bukhad ila mata and i dont think mo sugot sila nga ang duterte mo lead nila ug feel nila walay padulngan ang pag dala sa ila mayor dba?

Think again...yes no one is above the law. but try looking at the other sides. kay kung sa tiniguwang pa nga storya, mura ka ug kabayo nga naa sa karetela (kanang taxi horse bah) nga tabunan ang isig kilid sa mata para ang atubangan ray makit an.
hoy ayawg pataka diha.. they can be thrown out of the land because 1) ITS NOT THEIRS and 2) THERE IS A COURT ORDER IMMEDIATELY EXECUTORY AND THE SHERIFF IS JUST DOING HIS JOB.

On the other hand, the mayor has absolutely no business being there it is not part of the function of her position to be interfering with a court order. Kanang "waiting for 2 hrs" ba has no basis absolutely under the law, ang tawag ana, imong gi BAWG ang balaud arun mo angkon sa imohang gusto. Even waiting 1 minute is an unnecessary delay as the court order is immediately enforceable and an appeal does not bar its enforcement.

We have to respect rule of law, making excuses for squatters will not end poverty it will worsen it. A mayor being a sworn public servant should be the first to respect the courts, if she doesn't serve an example what will be the result but anarchy? Do you want to live in a society like that, where people make up their own rules because they have excuses? Being poor doesn't give you more rights than other people!

And why are people arguing whether or not he was mauled or just slapped by a woman, it's completely irrelevant. The sheriff is an officer of the court, even just a push of the hand is already a criminal offense called Direct Assault which carries very heavy penalties. These laws are in place so that people will respect the police and others in authority, without these laws, how can people do their jobs? The function of a sheriff of the court is very important, they are the implementing arm of the court. Without them the judges can't do anything and as a result the law becomes a farce that nobody will obey. Think about it before you people post...

You haven't answered my questions, yet you continue with your rants. I believe there is a place for people, and davao is obviously not for you. Because unlike people here in cebu davaowenos are safe in their city, and they are not threatened.

The ones threatened are those who are doing things against the law. And not the davaowenos who are law abiding citizens.
Who's the one ranting? I'm making my case and you're repeating yourself as if reciting some kind of mantra. Honestly it's a bit spammy to post the same things again and also condescending of you to say that people don't get it when they simply think you are wrong.

If there was a particular question you made which I did not respond to that's only because I thought it not worth a response. No need to address every single point is there?

by simply answering means you either have legitimate or illegitimate reasons to claim such words.. Simple raman na, di ka maka buhat i wonder why!!

no excuses this time! if it calls for a debate you have no stand, you are not from DAVAO and you will never understand.
