You are talking about a belief in a negative which is illogical. The same way i would "believe" that the pink unicorn a person is claiming to have seen does not exist.

But you DO BELIEVE that soon, SCIENCE will have ALL the answers. Mao na'y gitawag og faith.
We dont have problems "believing" or having "faith" in science because it is able to explain itself and its theories.

Unsa gu'y wala? Kadto diay'ng geocentric model (earth is the center of the universe) dili diay to false claim? Ayaw ko ingna dili to gikan sa science?

Kanang inyong claim nga life comes from inorganic chemical in random fashion, without the aid of any intelligence, asa man ang proof ninyo ana?
Those models or theories are always subject to change or improvement when a better theory or a more elegant theory is devised... In short, we are very much open to change.

Akong pangutana, is the church that open to change or improvement sa iyang beliefs? It took the church several hundreds of years to move on from Ptolemys geocentric model to the copernican model.

Basin one thousand years nasad ni until mu accept na ang church sa evolution as the beginning of the human race.

Unya what if the God that exists is the God sa lain religion?

Pag ampo nalang mo sa tanan para sure shot.

If God exists he would see right through your convictions and judge you based on your actions.

Granted, its a very selfish reason, but I'm honest to myself and quite happy about it. And contrary to popular belief, atheists are indeed bound by laws, whether personal or society-driven, because it serves as a guide for his continued existence (i.e we obviously won't do anything that would assure our destruction or non-existence in the near future). I know this is a bit demeaning to others and a bit haughty but, yes, I think if a person doesn't have the amount of curiosity, enthusiasm and zest for life that I have, given what I know about my own intelligence, capabilities and potentials, I guess it would be very hard for that person to enjoy life without having to call upon a supreme being for guidance and support. But I'm fairly content not having to depend on such a thing.

I always like to think of this analogy:

Let's say I was going to be locked in a room with someone for 24 hours, and all the room has is a table with several sheets of bond paper and two pencils...there is no TV, Radio, no books, no magazines, no iPod, no cellphone, not anything that will occupy a person's time. There won't even be food. In this situation, I know there is a good chance the person beside me will probably feel really bored, perhaps even go a bit hysterical or panicky, knowing that this room is so empty and boring, and in fact, the best thing this person will probably attempt is keep talking to me, and perhaps even get irritated at me for ignoring him/her. The reason I'll probably ignore him/her from time to time, is because I'll be busy sketching/drawing, or making origami, or writing a poem/story. In short, there are so many things to preoccupy me that the 24 hours kulang pa gani na sa ako, and I can even be so absorbed with what I'm doing that I sometimes forget that I need to eat diay.

If that empty room is a representation of "life without a god", then from my perspective it's not really empty, because I possess abilities that would occupy my time, and in fact I'll enjoy while I stay there. I do feel sorry for the other person who perhaps doesn't have my enthusiasm for drawing/sketching/origami/writing, and perhaps the best thing I then can do, is to try and teach that person so that he/she can also do what I do, so the person wouldn't be miserable while staying in the room.

    -RODION
Nice story, but an Empty Room is Not a Logical comparison of Life here on earth, its way beyond empty. The more realistic situation about your story is that Your inside an empty room having a pencil and a paper, But theres a wild Lion trying to harm, Bit, Scratched or Kill you, the Lion is the real representation of the dangers and Problems we face in our life. Now, you have an option to go out of that Room BUT you stayed inside together with the wild beast that hurt you, my question is WHY?

You said, "I struggle to live because I want to max out my potentials as a human being and see what this world can offer in the span of my short lifetime." Struggling huge Problems in your life, Forced yourself to follow Rules that you don't agree, Sacrificing a lot of things just to live. Sticking to our low paying Jobs even if we are very tired of it. I mean we all face More problems and hardship in our Life than Happiness. "I want to max out my potentials as a human being" type of reasoning to live is a little bit Shallow to me.
