actually as i have told you, or maybe you don't know, i'm for religion but i am not against science. For me. they are not opposite, they are complementary ^^
I studied in catholic school and med school

now now,

religion for me is a guiding principle of life while science is a tool
i am not bothered that my faith will change because my religion never told me that people are perfect, what i knew was the that people are sinners. My God never taught me if the earth was flat or not, He taught me about how to live on earth and have a meaningful life through love and humility.

It already written in the bible that the Earth is Round, Science only Proves/supported it by experiment later.

That only proves that people thought of the Earth as a Circle.... not a sphere.

IF you would read the book of Job which mentions the shape of the earth more specifically.
