Should moderators participate in the discussion?

ang analogy ninyo na you own this house is very wrong..we were here before some MODS ever started...we kinda help build this house..we told our friends about the site and our friends told their friends..I am not saying that we can do what we want. Ako lng, that on a basis of a healthy discussion..fair lng unta tanan nya walay special treatment or mulabaw...then that's where you come in, kung ma-heated na ang topic..

I never said I owned it--I work for the owners. If the owners feel that I've done wrong in my duties, don't worry, I'll be kicked off as mod as soon as you can blink your eye.

I'm sure the owners value what you have done to promote or make iStorya have more users. But your statement about helping build the house holds no water, because whether you like it or not "unsung heroes" are exactly that--unsung--they did a lot to help something start, but they get nothing in return for it--and now the funny thing is it's almost like you're saying "Hey, we demand more attention because we helped this place get started a long time ago, and we don't like how this NEWER mod is handling things now." So for the nth time, file a complaint.

Unsung heroes??..we don't expect anything in return man. nganu d i? if you tell your friend nga naay nindot na kan-anan didto...mangayo ka ug purcento ato nga restaurant kay you tell your friend about their establishment?REALLY.we are happy that Istorya is what it is right now because of the efforts of the admin and its members. kanindot na sa nahitabo sa Istorya karon. A site for Cebu ra gyud and thats quite an accomplishment na mapundok ang mga Cebuano sa usa ka lugar... and I think I never said that we should be given more attention because dugay na mi...I pointed that out to support my post nga nagkadaku na ang balay nya gamay pa security guard ato nga time.gamay pa office ni BeoR ato.(I hope dako na karon). I didn't even mention na we should be treated special...HEALTHY DISCUSSION and FAIR...mao man cguro na ako point..biya nako oi...

Why do I get this funny feeling that oftentimes your words are opposite to what you're really trying to mean? But it's probably just me.

I noticed sa usa ka thread nga naglalis ang moderator ug ang member. My question is tama ba nga ang moderator mo apil sa discussion? D ba sila man ang arbitrator or "an independent person or body officially appointed to settle a dispute." Lisod man gud apil sa discussion ang moderator then makalalis nimo kay paksit ka

i think this is like a classroom and they are the teacher. We are all part of the team. They have the right to be everywhere.

moderators are supposed to be referee. you can't expect a referee to punch a boxer..a referee is there to enforce the law and not box..

Lahi ra sa ubang sections. Kun magpadayon ang estado anang maong section, magkadaghan gyud ang dili na ganahan mo-bisita didto. Mahimo na unya ng monologue kay wala nama'y ganahan mo-reply or mo-contribute og mga threads. Duna'y pipila ka members sa istoryan nga wala na makauyon sa ka-istrikto anang maong section, pero dili lang makasulti kay mahadlok ma-infraction.

i think pwede man but dili as a moderator as a member.. Naa man gud uban moderator nga mo apil sa discussion unya kung naa member mo supak sa ila idea.. Saka dayun ang kilay o buhok gyud... Infraction dayun.. Paksit dayun!!!

Yes of course, moderators should participate in discussions, and show good example, like being friendly and polite.

Mao gyud, bay. It is supposed to be a science forum, not a science classroom with a terror professor running the show. Kun dili mausab ang kinaiya sa moderator didto, kana nga section mahimo na unya ng mora'g blog, ang tigpasiugda ra'y sige create og thread, unya talagsa na lang mga members ang mo-participate kay mahadlok man ma-infraction. My opinion, though.
