Default Should moderators participate in the discussion?

I noticed sa usa ka thread nga naglalis ang moderator ug ang member. My question is tama ba nga ang moderator mo apil sa discussion? D ba sila man ang arbitrator or "an independent person or body officially appointed to settle a dispute." Lisod man gud apil sa discussion ang moderator then makalalis nimo kay paksit ka

Observation lang ni nako mga bro.

I disagree, as a moderator, he/she should know how to carry an intelligent conversation.

Moderators are still members of the forums, thus they can comment and express their opinion when they like. It just so happened that they have more "powers" than the rest.
Ok ra man makiglalis na sila sa lain member, as long as they do not attack the person, just the topic. ..And as long as they follow the rules, that's fine.

Kung ako moderator, mag himo kog separate regular account, and I'll use that account to participate in discussions. Ako ra na ha. That doesn't mean mods can't participate in discussions using their mod account. They have that right, kay members man na gihapon sila.

You keep forgetting the "forum as a someone's private house" analogy. Imagine iStorya.net as someone's house, and there's a party in the house, and you got invited to the party by word of mouth. So again, think about it--would you enter someone's PRIVATE home, and start dissing the way he runs his home, and talk to everyone how unfair or how brash he handles his event/party (in this case, the event is the thread in question)? Would you then ask the owners of the house nga "ilisi nang housemember ninyo kay bati iyang batasan". If so, then do ask them, plain and simple--IM Beor, Galadriel or Vern, and inquire about this issue. It's quite useless to discuss issues of this nature here because iStorya.net keeps getting equated to some owned plaza or town square, when in fact it is not such.
