There is a fundamental connection in our salvation and devotion to Him. You cannot say that you believe in God and not reading his word. True Christians know that the only means to know God's purpose in our lives is by knowing it through his words which is only found in the bible! Nothing else. It was given and recorded by Godly men to witness His existence and to understand his intervention in the fabric of human history.

For the modern humans, it is like unto a manual where we can see ourselves if we still living in alignment with his will.

So the bible is really important in our spiritual growth and constant relationship with God!

People are spreading the word of god because its in the bible that they had to for somebody to be saved through A, B , C.

You are very welcome here but when you argue the Wrongness of God, you are just saying that their is a God only that he is a Wrong God, right?. So hows that for being an Atheist who don't believe in the existence of God?

Logically, it does not necessarily follows. When I question the wrongness of God. That means, I question the validity of what is written in the bible. If the bible becomes invalid, then it might follow that what is written there is not true. So, how can I believe in a God when the source of it's existence is the bible and the bible becomes unbelievable.

But, I'm afraid that this is out of topic to be discussed in this thread. That's why I just kind of ride-on with the discussion about Jesus Christ.
